It's in bright, red text at the top of the main page. Don't one-word post. Especially to thirstpost.
I'm a little confused. Why does anyone care if the senate approves of an appointment when Trump's team has already declared the intent to use recess appointments and temporary vacancy filling with that unused law from the late 90's? If you can force your pick through for at least the short term, why bother pulling a bait and switch with Gaetz? It sounds like she's getting trashed just as hard as Gaetz even though they have nothing worth trashing, and every Democrat is going to vote against her just like they were going to do with Gaetz. My dad thinks it was a loyalty test to the senate but it only exposed people we already knew were RINOs. It's mysteries like this that lead to all the "trust the plan" theories that makes the right look retarded, especially when it's coming from a campaign that's generally pretty transparent. Trump is also riding on a very high approval rating (thanks zoomers), so why play these games?
Because there's not enough votes in the Senate for them to voluntarily go into recess, and I'm not sure that Trump wants to force them into recess. Like I said earlier I don't believe this was a "loyalty test" because everyone knew what RINOs are going to be playing the Uniparty's Most Loyal Obstructionist role. My guess, honestly, is that the allegations are true and Gaetz lied to Trump and told him it wasn't. If it wasn't true, then he'd ride it out. Kavanaugh beat off some of the most ridiculous and over-the-top accusations when that shit was at its absolute zenith when he was nominated for the Supreme Court.

What most likely happened was Gaetz simply didn't have the backbone needed to survive the tar and feather every maga candidate gets when they're put in the spotlight. Nothing more, nothing less. It's pretty tough having the media just shit all over you 24/7, and even moreso when you're put as a cabinet pick under Cheeto Hitler. He simply got too scared and withdrew his nomination.

That’s the most retarded theory I’ve heard yet. He was the leader of the McCarthy saga. He’s not at all the type to cave.

I think Gaetz saw the fact that he might get in but his appointment would be held up as it went through a bunch of courts stalling Trump's agenda for a year or more. I think Trump, Gaetz, Johnson, and Senate Republicans came to some kind of deal where Gaetz would back down but RFK and Gabbard would go through if Trump put in a slam dunk AG that had no baggage. Pam Bondi has all the experience, she is tough on illegal immigrants, tough on crime, and has fought for Trump and Trump's agenda.

Jesus Christ why do you know about that shit.
IIRC EA-3167 was mentioned in the thread earlier, alongside 2 or 3 other really fun chemicals you don't want to ever actually use. Shit like hallucinogens that cause you to feel your skin being peeled off by a burning potato peeler for 3+ weeks on a microdose, or shit that permanently kills your ability to feel joy.

Edit:
This would never happen but if you wanted to fuck with the cartels you would go public and announce all drugs seized at the border will be laced with EA-3167, Bromo-Dragonfly, and MPTP then released into drug supply chains. People might risk getting fentanyl because they have Naloxone, most people ain't gonna risk opening the drug equivalent of the lament configuration.

More realistically you could do shit like threaten to end corn subsidies which cause big problems for Mexico back in the mid 2000s IIRC.

I looked them up when mentioned:

  • MPTP is a side effect chemical created if you make some drugs wrong. It gives you Parkensons. Forever.
  • Bromo-DragonFLY is a technically legal hallucinogen that is legal because taking it is it's own punishment. Unlike most other drugs, there are no happy Bromo-DragonFly trips, it's apparently like going to hell itself and it's a time dissonant trip -- you'll be tripping balls for a few days but it will feel like years from your perspective. Oh, and it causes you to vomit blood and random body parts will become necrotic (i.e., parts of your body will start to rot days or weeks after you take it, and there's no treatment). And that's assuming a "safe" dosage, it gets rapidly less pleasant the more you take.
  • EA-3167 is another hallucinogen, stupidly potent, very bad trip, and it lasts about two weeks... and that's just the start. It leaves you confused, amnesiac, and unable to speak or think clearly afterwards. After THAT wears off you get to deal with increased levels of "hypochondriasis, depression, hysteria, psychasthenia, schizophrenia, and mania" for upwards of 6 months.

This is the SoD "rape report" the liberals are trying to run with about Pete Hegseth. If you read it, it looks like the woman got drunk, cheated on her husband and had regret and tried to spin it as rape. There is also apparently security video showing her being happy and holding onto Hegseth as they go back to a hotel room.

What's that? A Republican nominee being accused by rape from years ago out of nowhere?

Gosh, what are the odds.

We're in a post-piss tapes/RvW leak world. I honestly believe that if they had good dirt to leak, they would have leaked it when he was nominated and abandoned his seat in the house. If it stuck, it probably would have ruined Gaetz's career for good. Now Gaetz looks like he's going to get a free ride to the senate. What info do they have that would disqualify him as an AG but not a senator?

I don't know Pam Bondi's record very well. From what I can tell on the surface, she's more concerned with the drug war than dealing with corruption. This could indicate that Trump isn't going to go after the deep state loyalists, similar to what he did after winning in 2016. I'm far from dooming, but this is the first Trump thing post-election that I can't call an obvious W. Time will tell, but I'm worried they're showing weakness and I doubt there's going to be much room for mistakes if this admin hopes to bring meaningful reform. The expectations are MUCH higher this time around, and failure might mean the next president is going to be a glass of water with a D on it.

Chatter is that Old Mitch will not confirm RFK jr under any circumstances and he's got a bunch of the RHINO senators to back him up.

The lobbyist money is flowing like water in DC this week all to stop any changes to the system.

What will Trump do?
Bobby has to be non-negotiable. If he cucks out and lets them reject him, then it's proper time to question the Administration.

Its win win for Trump and RFK with this talk.

Mitch blocks it, those republicans are absolutely on the table for picking off, no ifs ands or buts, and the new GOP base will do it. RFK still gets in via recess.

If democrats block RFK too, despite him doing shit they said they were doing forever before Trump actually did it, it further taints them as being filled with neocon/neolib faggots and disenfranchise many more people for the future and makes more independents go to Trump's base.

I sincerely hope that Trump goes to bat instantly and forcefully for RFK and forces him into the cabinet by whatever means necessary. If he doesn't and allows, by "well, we tried!" cope and backpedal, Mitch and the RINOs to impede it then I think it's fair to step back and view Trump and the Administration with a far more critical eye. I'm not dooming and not pre-dooming either, because I like to think that RFK is non-negotiable to Trump, but considering how integral he's been not only to the Transition Team (he's practically in the inner circle, if not outright part of it) but also on the campaign trail if he doesn't deliver then it's fair to say that Trump will be hard-pressed to deliver on anything.

It's shit like this that makes me wish Trump would become the dictator he's always accused of being.

Can someone tell me how bad of a choice is Pam Bondi? I heard she is a Scientologist and connected to Qatari traffic of migrants?
