I know people will call any shift in direction Neptunian, but he is right, just watching the house get destroyed and people covered in BBQ sauce will get old.

The burt adventure with the Raven fag was great.
They need to change things up a bit every season or else hell house with Frank Hassle and retarded food fights will get old. Which is why we need LARPtank.

Jet just said bloodgames/2.5 was “not sustainable/profitable” and “too risky” so rip to any future best seasons
They made a half million dollars and somehow didn't profit? They made just as much that 2 weeks as they did in the month of bitchtank afterwards. So that nigga must be lying or all of fishtank has been "at cost" so far. What a retarded thing to say when you have investors

It’s too bad jet is being a nigger and trying to remove that frankly incredible 90 minute documentary someone made about bloodgames instead of just adopting it as canon and shit they didn’t have to do any work on
Mind sharing a link to that? I don't exactly know which one your talking about. I'll download it and upload a rip after making it farms file size friendly.
Might watch this tonight since it'll be nontent on the show.

LARP tank sounds fine, it's Jet saying he wants to change the show from PvP to a PvE style of show with a strong emphasis on teamwork that worries me. personally.

Jet also said he wants to work with "normal people" in a way that makes me think he's fatigued from working with retards like Jon, Jimmy, and Alex. Not that I'd blame him but I could be reading too much into it.

^^^^ I’ll upload it if someone can provide a good upload site since it’s 2.25gb if the original upload is gone

Was the overall prize pool of bloodgames really $250,000? Cut it down and there’s some savings right there, they’ll make more on tts.

It’s a waste of having all that great land and not using it for something else. I feel the same way about some of my acreage and I don’t have a reality show

Eh, there's still a lot of potential for content.

I'm not sure if the half million dollars figure is accurate, but assuming the show cost $400k that only leaves $100k in "profit" (before you get into tax shit).
So it may have been profitable or "break even" on paper but could still be too risky to do again in the same way/scope in the future.

I can imagine the camera equipment and a few other things probably required a decent amount of investment (or they were rented). And although I didn't follow the show I know that they had lots of "NPCs" and wasn't exactly small in scale. All of those people need flights, hotel rooms and catering (and to actually be paid). You need stuff like insurance and a whole lot of other things that make the cost go higher.

This is how movie studios decide what movies to make. Even though sometimes a movie may be critically acclaimed, it can sometimes only make a small % in profit once all expenses are considered.

For a 24/7 livestreamed show, that was broadcast for 2 weeks, had like 12 contestants and 15 NPCs, $500k is really not a lot of money.

stolen from plebbit - someone asks burt to make a dedication/shoutout to his brother who is getting engaged. Burt fulfills their request, while not even stopping the spurtin
Jesus Christ dude this did not need to be posted in higher quality. I can literally see him fondling his ballsack as he jerks.

They had a shitload of people to pay in 2.5. Not surprised that their budget was blown out when they had dozens of NPCs and extra support staff compared to a few wiggers in the basement.

That two weeks also doesn't include the likely weeks or months of time it would have taken to clean and prep the whole Bloodgames area, as well as have the set structures built, for which they are paying both labor and materials. It's a lot more work than decorating a house and installing a few cameras.

I'm not sure what he meant by that and don't want to play the guessing game. Fact is, "normal people" have obligations that prevent them from devoting weeks to some random internet show. The more anyone knows about the show, the less likely they would be to go on it if they're normal.

Tayleigh and Letty were both doing really good streaming but they both quit because they got sick of dealing with the fanbase. This "fame" has been completely useless to all of the men though.
Hey Jimmy consistently has like 50 viewers on his streams!!! That's at least 43 more than he'd have without the tank.

I feel like most people would be completely happy with the show being nothing but a bunch of eccentric weirdos being locked in a house for 6 weeks and competing for prizes while being pranked and trolled.

I don't understand why they're seemingly so intent on straying from that.

What? Watching Payton and Simbal mumble in the kitchen and cook is peak content. It's all about the mind games, bro!

Probably because finding a Shinji or Burt is really fucking difficult and they're probably super temperamental. On paper the idea sounds fantastic but it is really difficult to scale or repeat.

Like next season they do this, do you really think they're going to find anyone that tops Burt? (I mean they won't because Burt is the top to begin with lol) They won't, they only found him through dumb luck. The amount of effort it takes to find a Burt or a Shinji may not really be something they see as being feasible in the long term and by their nature Burt + Shinji types are unpredictable, there is every chance they produce nontent or leave very early on

Anyway, if they keep doing the same shit every season it will actually get boring and repetitive and the appeal will be limited to MDE/whatever audience that they have right now. They really need to keep trying difference recipes and different ingredients to keep fishtank economically viable (especially if they want to do like 10+ seasons)

actual indie movies like "what we do in the shadows" and "super" both mainly used local friends as the cast and just shot stuff in people's houses or asked permission and used people's backyards. Why the fuck would they need a hotel room when everyone could just sleep in the house. same for "catering" David Cohen literally cooked for his entire movie crew, Jet's too much of a fag to even do that?

in a way 2.5 wasn't that different from say how Curb or TPB was made. just give people some light notes and let them come up with dialogue on their own. Its literally what mumblecore was a dozen years ago. Unless Jet's full of shit or overspent somewhere hilariously (he did fly out most of the npcs at his expense, but even then thats $900 at most) like where did the money go?

true, but most reality shows can find weirdos to do it.

its because production can't make pranks worth a fuck and straight up forgot to feed people the first two times. also even if someone's eccentric or weird its hard for them to be that way around strangers. look how comfortable TJ is around the other fish vs when he was first in the tank.
