Most autistic thing you've purchased lately - c'mon feel the cringe

I ordered the Sandman Mystery Theatre omnibus 1. I've read parts of the series in the past and enjoyed it, and it's been on my list to read fully for quite some time. The omnibus was randomly recommended to me on Amazon on sale for half price, so I decided to take the plunge. It hasn't arrived yet and I'm a little nervous because the sturdiness of large soft cover comic collections can often be lacking.

Most autistic recently I guess would be a digital meat thermometer. Consider me a big fat pussy but I've always been really cautious about cooking raw meats and want to be sure the dinner I just made won't leave me doubled over in the bathroom for the next few days. That said, it's probably one of the best cooking investments I've ever made in terms of price versus value.

I don't think this is autistic at all. It's a useful tool everyone should have. Maybe you're concern over raw meats is autistic, but having a thermometer isn't.

More sticks and platforms for the rat cage. More carbiners. And a coir brick, currently soaking in a bucket, destined to become media in a new dig box.

I don't know how much more I can take. ADHD rat has pavloved me. She realised that if she goes to a high platform or hammock and performs a tight, weaving dance in a perfect circle I'll freak the fuck out and go and check on her, and from then she can demand to be let out. The dance is so bizarre that I initially thought that she was having an abnormal type of seizure, but no, she's absolutely doing it deliberately. She does it when dinner is late, she does it when it's time for free range, she does it when it's been more than an hour since I last gave her pats and cuddles, she does it when I'm eating my own dinner and she wants some too... and she'll keep it up until she either gets a reaction, or gets dizzy.

The cherry on top of the weirdness is that ADHD rat sleeps heavily in the early mornings; rats are crepuscular, while domestics are very adaptable to their human's schedule, I've never come across a girl who sleeps heavily during twilight... until now. I can actually pick ADHD rat up and she'll immediately slither through my fingers and curl back up and tuck her snout against her flank and go straight back to sleep.

I've had many girls with "character" before, I've had girls with behavioural issues before, I've had girls with neurological problems, but here I'm genuinely wondering if ADHD rat is just flat out possessed by some tiny rodent demon.

Bought a plushie of one of the monsters in Amnesia: The Dark Descent. I never buy merchandise and certainly not plushies, but that thing was so unbelievably hideous that I just had to have it.

When I played Amnesia for the first time, that creature was legitimately one of the most horrific things I'd ever seen in a video game.

Just the fact of it existing as a plushie is funny to me, so naturally, I gave in to my base consoooooomer desires on this one .

I'm also somewhat impressed by the craftsmanship, to be honest. They managed to capture the design of the creature pretty well, despite the basic shape of the plushie being that of a bean with arms and legs.

Full Fox 2.0 setup for my truck, front and rear struts and a steering stabilizer, all with remote reservoirs and adjustable rebound. Bougiest car part purchase I've ever made.

Went full autist mode measuring front and rear bumper heights under load and not under load. Going over every steering component and suspension linkage.

I can't wait to install these and notice no difference.

Did you leave the typical factory rake in? I know that lots of truck owners like to "level" the front with the rear, but as soon as they put anything in the bed, it's squat city.

I bought it used, and it's been leveled. It's a 3/4 ton (oddly far more towing capability than my previous one ton) so squatting the bed takes a bit. Towed a 7000lb trailer the other day, measured and it was bang on level. Granted this vehicle is way over powered for most of my towing needs. If it gets bad I'll toss in air bags or remove the leveling kit.

Current struts are ranchos with 50k on them. Absolutely blown out. The knob to adjust them is frozen.

Where did you get that? My friend would LOVE one.

I got vegan caffeine mints, because the girl selling them was so ashamed and awful at sales I just had to buy a box (20 mints 80mg a pop) for 7 dollars. Because I felt bad. They taste awful.
