More often than not, I heavily question the narrative from MDE fans that Sam Hyde is some kind of modern day genius philosopher savant. Smart, funny guy to be damn sure, just not a genius. Then I see such a perfect example of his 'retarded gay people' theory in action, and you can't help but wonder if it was intentional or pure serendipity. Both S1 and S2 felt a little long in duration towards the end, this is a nice reset for the viewers and OG fish.
