Looking into transformers recently had me thinking; isn't the modern cartoon industry very human centric? Humans standing around talking, but sometimes they're demons and sometimes they're fantasy creatures. Do they still make robot shows? Pokemon clones, wacky fantasy energy and overthrowing governments? Or is it still all just talking?

We Bare Bears and some other forgettable CN/Nick slop, I think. But you're definitely right that it's mostly humans.

I guess an easier categorization is plush/toy merchandising shows. I can't imagine many would buy toys of Bare Bears. Plushies make sense I guess.

IMO that still doesn't count because the fact they're bears means nothing to anyone else. They could easily be humans and nothing about the show would change. This works fine to serve the show's purpose (make soy power fantasies and push retarded takes)

I recently remembered Beast Wars for the 15th time and now have Transformers stuff recommended me on YouTube. There’s some 3D animated one with the G1 designs that animated in the shittest way. Like no animation for actual shit, but what I can only call TikTok over animation. The only really animation is when a character is shot like they are in front of a cell phone over expressing.

It’s like a shitty Gacha where the entire model stretches with the animation.

Success doesn't matter in the name of representation to the average Tumblrite. Keep in mind that many of these cartoon fans live in a bubble so if a show fails, they will barely notice and just keep on wanking the show because it has "good" representation or quirky ships.

Fossil Daddy is obsessed with specializing in children's cartoons and sissy mind-breaking real world political figures. I just watched the Sonic 3 trailer with Shadow and it actually looks good. Maybe it's my age but it feels like the only IPs worth holding onto anymore are those from the 90-00s. Sonic, Transformers, Digimon, Dragonball.. Certainly better than whatever new dogshit LGBTQ sponsored crap we see kids get blasted with.

The members of this union don't even do the work that their job is named for. They literally don't animate. They design and board. Software has been doing cleanup, walk cycles, and colouring for them for decades now, and Koreans have been doing 100% of the in-between frames.
