People saying Famous House 2.0 was a bad idea, or worse than previous seasons are delusional or didn't experience Season 1 or 2 live.
I feel like there has probably been more discussion today and yesterday than all of Week 5 of Season 1 and 2 combined. They've always run out of steam after Week 4 and keeping things interesting with few Fish. Almost the entirety of the last two weeks of Season 2 were the Doldrums of Nontent.

I actually appreciated the downtime in S1 a lot, its what was missing during Act 2 imo. Moments of quiet to punctuate the insanity and give the fish time to reset and chat and interact with the audience in a less hostile way. This season has been a lot of start and stops, especially Act 3. Crazy moments that go on past their prime into long doldrums where nothing fucking happens (like last night.)
Yes there was a lot of jabbering yesterday, but most of it involved new people we don't care about. Its funny to see some of these new fish get fucked with but
we don't know any of these people so the impact is far far less.
They need to trim down the cast a lot in the next couple days and find ways to quickly make these new people more familiar. Also the only people who should win are Luke and Jobe.

Nigga this is fishtank hellhouse. The best content possible is when degenerates get messed with. In fact it's arguably the entire basis of the show. This is the fatal flaw in white people, that ridiculous empathy overpowers everything to the point a schizo rapist wannabe killer gets coddling if they cry a little.
IDK man arguably Jeff deserved the worst shit of anyone in the house and even then it became a bit sad and dehumanizing to watch production basically set him up for an alcoholic groundhog day every 24 hours. You ever hear that quote about staring into the abyss so long it stares back? You ever wondered what that quote actually means?
Fishtank has to walk that very fine line or they risk people tuning out because the show becomes more demeaning to watch than it is funny. People will watch fishtank but a lot of them wouldn't watch bum fights, if you get my drift.
Maybe if you just tune into the director cam during one of production's boring bits (or the Fish endlessly talking about how they need to try and be interesting) you might get a different impression of what's going on in the house, but yesterday had a LOT of things happen and it cannot always be at a 10. Probably the only difference is that it's harder to root for the OG fish (besides Luke and maybe Burt) after Brandon, but the show is anarchic and entertaining and doesn't necessarily need sympathetic characters.
Disagree. Read what I wrote above. Nobody cares about the anarchy if it isn't anchored by some characters the audience understands and identifies with. Even in a slasher movie you generally have at least one survivor who you want to see make it to the end even as the rest of the characters get their heads split in half by machetes.

on paper. Most of it involves nobodies that we couldn't care less about. Oh wow Tony's relationship is fucked? Well who cares, we met Tony yesterday and he's basically just more boring Italian Jon.
The show has time to course correct but its really fucking in the pits right now and I'm not the only one who thinks so.
