Given Nick's weird waffling on his call-in to Melton-file's show a few weeks ago, I was waffling about whether he was setting the stage to settle. But given the ... issues... in Kayla's filing, I am inclined to think he's going to at least keep this thing going for longer. You don't want to take a plea when there are so many "GREAT" issues in Kayla's case that could also resolve things for Nick.

The smart money would have been to take the plea offer that was given to both, or at least negotiate it, back when Kayla (and likely Nick) were offered it, unless it was just complete garbage.
