There was a containment room for Signalis fans on the discord, due to lesbots getting spammed. It's gone now, thankfully. If you check the Signalis thread OP, you see the mention of the milposter shitstorm. I feel that the peri community generally leans toward the milposter side, the gun channel is comfy. I ctrl+f the devs talking about signalis/sneedalis and only see a curteous "they're cool" and mention of the "coffee doesn't exist in Signalis" tweet.

Is the Signalis coffee thing similar to how in the Fallout universe (I think Sawyer or Avellone mentioned it at some point) horses 'don't exist' since they... Got extinct post-nuclear war. But then it got contradicted in the FNV prequel comic showing Great Khans using horses because the comic artist forgot that lore tidbit.

I don't think they've ever been ashamed of being public with their gross fetishes. In fact, it may have always been their biggest fantasy or endgame goal. Maybe in school where it was harder to express because someone could kick their shit in and mostly get away with it, but once they get the adult freedom to express themselves, they've always done so without restraint. Hell, some of them were at least clever and hard-working enough about it that they obscure their degenerate shit just long enough to place themselves into a position where they can freely and more openly push their fetishism onto the public in a more "professional" manner. Depends on what anime you were watching and at what age. Full-Metal Alchemist, Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online, My Hero Academia, Kill la Kill - all of them are prime examples of a perfect piece of dogshit targeted towards degenerates in the west who treat anime like Marvel or Disney flicks. While more grounded and slow-paced titles with emphasis on human interactions, aspects of human psychology or exploration of people’s emotions, for example, are usually being avoided, since your average dork who can reference Jojo and sperg about reading the entirety of One Piece manga will tell you that those titles suck, because they’re pretentious or boring, even though he’s just too full of himself to say that he didn’t get it.

I think I read the entirety of Berserk, mostly because I genuinely liked it and its main character Guts. That’s, I think, one thing that I didn’t feel ashamed reading.
