Yes, just waiting for that minor formality. How long has it been?

Thank you, Twitter account XmasCarnageFail.
I don't know why he doesn't just self publish. He has 50,000+ fans, used to be 60,000, on twitter who I bet are dying to buy his latest literary masterwork. That's gotta be $100-200K he's missing out on right? He could get a serious commercial meat grinder for like $30-40k and still be laughing, all by New Years. The holiday season is starting. It's the perfect time to put your nose to the grinstone and get it done, Rick!

Literally coping and seething.

Because “how many books have you published, child?” as a dunk doesn’t work when you shopped it around all the old stomping grounds and implored people to do social media campaigns on your behalf and nobody cared or listened so you just self publish instead. His ego will never accept self publish because “important person with important opinions that people pay me for” is his delusional brand. Pat wants massive hashtag campaigns lighting up Tor or Angry Robot publishing and begging them to release his latest works. He thinks he’s too good to settle for any less.

Let's be real, what Pat really needs to try is Disco Elysium. It's a game pretty much tailor made for pseudo intellectual political sperg non-gamers like him.Maybe he can flex his IQ when the game praises him for his marxist worldview or something.
He'd somehow manage to lose even though it's virtually impossible to lose. Well, technically it's entirely possible to lose because it's heavily checkpointed so you just don't do whatever dumb thing you just did again (or do and get lucky this time).

That, and he doesn't actually enjoy writing. He started writing cause he thought inhabiting the persona of "stand-up comedian who writes sc-fi novels and is also an unbreakable bar-fighter" would be his sure path to fame and fortune. He never writes for fun, he never skeets (lol) about the craft of writing, he never talks about finally working out a thorny plot point or his favorite techniques for character development. Writer Pat is as fictional as Tough Guy Pat.

Ignorant stalker child, a simple search for #AmWriting among his xeets reveals many insightful and original comments on the craft, such as:

How can you honestly use the amwriting hashtag if you're just staring at a computer screen for two hours? 1.2 gpa, that's how. Must have been a slow day at the beach bar by the lake.

That's the sociopath way. Social status and clout is all he cares about. He doesn't want to write, he wants to be "a writer" #amwriting. That's why he would occupy the bar at Hooligans in the most obnoxious way possible, in order that people would NOTICE him and think he was writing the next great American novel, even though what he was really doing was Childing the Stalkers all day. He doesn't want to get into bar fights, he wants other people to think he is a "tough guy". He doesn't want to do stand-up gigs, he wants to be a "stand-up comedian".

He gets no joy from actually performing any activities and does the absolute minimum necessary to be able to claim the title and status of someone who does that thing. He is obsessed with being respected (including a deep insecurity complex about his masculinity), which is unfortunate seeing as the Pests prevent that from happening. In fact he's living his worst nightmare, every day. Nobody respects him, nobody listens to his opinions, thousands of people laugh at him every day. His only recourse is to try to spin that as him being at the centre of a huge criminal conspiracy to silence him, which is the kind of thing that only happens to IMPORTANT members of the #resistance. So rebel Pat is the current persona, in yet another attempt to grasp at some kind of status. I suspect that it will go as well as the rest of his attempted personas.

Luke didn't have the ability to kill the emperor regardless, sparing Vader was the only chance he had to win. Keep in mind this is basically George Lucas ripping off the dynamic between frodo and gollum.
The thing is Luke reawakened Anakin's humanity and that's what caused him to rebel against Big Pazza. Gollum's lust and addiction to the one ring caused him to attempt to steal and bite it off of Frodo as a final act of denying Smeagol, first started by Sam's vitriol towards him. Ones a man refinding his internal good the other is a man denying his internal good. Pat fits the latter. Perhaps one of the few things he can fit in at his weight.

Remember when he seriously thought that Tiny Trans Tim in Space could potentially be published by Christmas 2023? (A)(L)

I love how this guy effortlessly shits all over Patrick by pointing out how he wrote every day from January to September and in that time managed to produce an NYT bestseller (with no proposal or outline previously submitted) and something like 60-70 weekly columns, plus 9 monthly columns. That's a level of effort, productivity and recognition Patty can only dream of. You just know he was quietly seething at the end of that conversation and trying to find some way to recoup what shreds of dignity he still had.

It’s also impressive that he had the sense to not stalker child that guy.

Then again that was before paying quasi, so he was a bit more rational.

Perhaps the exact moment when his brain totally breaks can be pinpointed?

I'm guessing this was the book "The Truth Matters" (Something Patrick doesn't know a thing about). It was published by Penguin.

BRUCE BARTLETT’s experience ranges from serving as Senior Policy Analyst in the Reagan administration to holding the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy at the Treasury Department in the Bush 41 White House. He has also authored a column for Forbes and written for the Economix blog of the New York Times. A New York Times best-selling author, he’s published more than 2,100 articles in major national publications.
He also has credibility, something Patrick lacks.
