Sony hate thread

The Wii U thing really chaps my ass. I bought one a couple years ago to mod, and it's easily become my favorite console (at least for emulating). What I would do is make a home console that was just a better version of the WiiU, that uses a Switch as a gamepad. Not that you would need to have a Switch to play but that could provide backwards compatibility. You invite your friend over to play a game, they bring their switch 2 (just the portable gamepad) and they connect it to your home console (a Switch 2 base console) that outputs 4k60, and your portable gamepads become your second screens/controllers in whatever multiplayer game you are playing. I really just think they fucked up so hard on the WiiU and they should try it again, but better, and don't call it a Switch.
So you basically want to turn it into a wireless version of this except have it compatible with every game?

I just like to imagine the Wii U, but it let you use more than one gamepad, and you could use it at work or while traveling. The fact that you need to basically be within 10 feet to use the gamepad was a fail. I think that's a really cool idea. Also since this is a Sony hate thread I just want Nintendo to end up like the Doom guy on the pile of console corpses.

What's left then? When anime goes woke like Hollywood and gaming, what's left, read a book? Think those are safe? I doubt it.
doubt it's gonna go woke, even if they tried by the time it gets there the west has long moved on, and that's after otakus threw a loud fit. they will instead switch to manwha and chinese stuff, if they haven't already - and good luck subverting the chinks.

Hopefully if Sony buys Kadokawa in its entirety, the FTC breathes down their neck so they can't make anything Sony exclusive. If the game studios are forced to develop for only PlayStation, that will be a complete disaster. PlayStation is too far gone to revitalize itself in Japan, it would just suffocate those studios and games rather than benefit anyone.

Given Sony previously tried to buy only game and anime assets from them, they probably only wanted to bolster their exclusive libraries. Hopefully they get fucked like Microsoft did.

Apparently, Lego Horizon is performing worse than Concord on Steam. That's not the least bit surprising.
Lego games typically allow for replayability through unlockable characters and collectibles hidden through abilities. Lego Horizon offers neither of that as a linear adventure title. Who even plays Horizon?

Modern day Soyny making exclusive games? lol, lmao even.

Remember the bragging about PS5 outselling PS4 "launch aligned"? Well, I've caught them lying out of their fucking arses.

A quick history lesson: Back when the Xbox 360 was losing sales to PS3, Microsoft changed how they define a 'sale' from "sell-through", which means a sale to a customer, to "sell-in" which is sale to a store.

Sony have been using the 65 million sales figure as the comparison to PS4 sales 'launch aligned', when that's the sales TO THE STORE, not the customer. The PS4 was almost matched 1:1 between sell through and sell in. As we can see here, 9 million Ps5's are sat on store shelves not selling.

TL; DR - Sony are using the amount of consoles sold to stores as the comparison figure vs ps4 sales sold to customers.

PS5 sales must be in the fucking toilet.

What did Sony expect when they put out a unneeded remake of Horizon not even a month before hand? A outsourced PlayStation Lego game wasn't a bad idea to fill up Sony's weak 2024 line up, and overall Sony's lack of child friendly games on the console, just they messed it up so badly.
