The Balenciaga BDSM thing is effectively totally memoryholed at this point; I think it was a profoundly stupid ad campaign from a company notorious for using shock tactics to attract attention, and it became pretty obvious how totally irrelevant the controversy of the campaign was when people realized that the most Balenciaga does relating to kids is overpriced t-shirts and sweatsuits.
Also, I don’t think anyone who was actually outraged at it was a member of Balenciaga’s target market of Chinese international students with incomprehensibly wealthy parents. Whether Jet thinks he is a part of this demographic is unclear to me.
