General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Pippa was super upset about it and just went off on that Dev guy when he showed up in her chat.
Dev is in the vein of sex pests like coomalot at this point.

Hoo boy the last few days have been insane for holo fans. I've seen so many theories.

I'd put my money on Mumei next, she hasn't done much for a good couple of weeks. Which may be a holiday but I haven't seen any such announcement. And her Twitter seems like it's under corp management, just reposts and the odd emoji, and nothing said about Fauna, which isn't characteristic social media behaviour of Mumei.
I heard Mumei and Fauna were friends outside of hololive. So I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm not going to link it for obvious reasons, but Phase Connect's Komachi Panko had an accident during her new outfit reveal, showing everyone her outfit's panties... and the, er, fully rendered stuff behind it.

Note that she streams exclusively on Youtube, so there'd be no reason ever to show that during a delivery.

Why is Phase Connect like this
Panko? No surprise she probably likes to play with her model outside of work.
I don't mean like porn stuff. Just she seems the type to treat it like a grown woman with barbie dolls.

grimmi being a redskin who scalps animals(she did a hand stream once and was white as milk)
This made me laugh. She should rename her hotsauce to Firewater

Ugh, I hate the fact that I had to actually check this bullshit. No, you're fucking incorrect. If you're referring to her tweet, it was a joke. Someone on /jp/ photoshopped her old 'toggle' image onto the new model, and then someone else photoshopped it to be black. Then someone further tweeted it, and Panko being a gremlin retweeted it saying it was a mistake. I went to look at the actual stream and used the state of the real camera in the bottom left of her stream as reference and nowhere does she do that toggle. It may exist, but it didn't happen in the stream. If it had /jp/ would have exploded FAR more than it actually did. I get that you don't want to see that shit, no one does, but at least do a bit of research before parroting bullshit.

Hd to check the reasons, she is a the animal ears loli. Makes sense. I do wonder why the parts were even put in. Isn't that a waste of money unless you go Melody for Coom?

Dev is a fat retard. He is like a lovechild of a fat brony in prospering grounds and his parents were Vaush and Tim Pool.

He goes for the lolbert centrist look, and then goes aaaaaaaaccccckk-soooaly, the far right are the real nazis, am I right aboot that? They do the same thing as the left has said, so they are even worse ya guys!
And he has more shit takes than the Gunt.

He is just insufferably smug too. He is so smug Arch gets smug poisoning from him.

Honestly, we don't even really know what this affiliate shit even means.
It’s very obvious, gone but they can come back for events in the future. So really big Events like Anniversaries or whatnot. Wouldn’t be surprised if Ame turns up for Fauna Graduation.
but I can only feel like it's got to be something really shit to give up all of that perminently.
From everything that is being suggested, it does not sound like it is actually really bad shit honestly.

I'm glad to be wrong but either way I wasn't going to the actual stream because I don't want that shit in my watch history

I watch both the boys and the girls and the thing that synonymous between them is that they all have been intensively complaining about the management being incredibly poor and these last few graduations only compound that there's definitely some "growing pains" going on.

It really doesn't inspire hope, and I am willing to bet a lot of money that there's going to be a string of graduations coming up and the company is just spreading them out accordingly since we don't even really know who's all a part of the next Fes iirc.

I don't exactly know everything that they want to do, but the big problem is that V-tubing as a medium is sort of capped at the anime ceiling and even when it comes to the West most anime that pop off over here are typically very Shonen based ( Dragon Ball z, one piece, bleach, naruto, even Pokemon back in the day) so I don't know if taking a more K-pop Idol of approach is going to really win them any additional normie fans that didn't already like anime girl streamers.

In one of her final streams, Ame said affiliates still get a cut of their character's merch sales. Giving up on an easy, passive stream of income seems like a pretty big deal to me.
I don't know how definitive anything Ame said about it was in her final streams because she also constantly said that it was new territory they were treading and that what exactly it meant wasn't completely clear.

Like just for example it's one thing to consider they might get a percentage of merch.

But at the same time their merch runs will be ending and At least with Ame specifically they were just selling what was left on hand. "We plan to continue selling merchandise and other items that are already on sale."

Perhaps "talent freedom" includes the freedom to leave.

Becoming an affiliate sounds to me like either a rose by any other name, based on Cover's announcement, or the door's open if you ever want to come back. I can't decide which just yet.

She said she wants to be a streamer and not an idol, different goals.
That's not what she said at all.
1:52
"The reason for my graduation is disagreement with management"
3:39
"I'm not leaving because I don't want to be here and I'm not leaving because I don't want to be an idol."
The fact she went for a straight graduation instead of the affiliate status like Ame and Chloe, which Cover has stated is going to be the new standard going forward, really paints a picture that management is shitting the bed hard. We've already heard plenty of stories of how perms are a fucking joke and management has often just not responded to requests and leaves them on read. Combine that with many projects being cancelled right at the final steps before completion and the supposed rejections of ideas because management thinks the idea doesn't fit the talent's brand and its no wonder talents are getting pissed off.

It’s the second. You can come back and do things if you want but if you don’t it’s effectively leaving.

She read a pre-written letter agreed upon by both parties, on a platform controlled by the corporation. She didn't "shit on management". She said she wants to be a streamer and not an idol, different goals. Hololive isn't just a streamer platform, most of their money comes from merch, events and brand deals.
Like said before: She said explicitly that shes loves singing and performing on stage. She is Not leaving because she hates the Idol stuff. Her problem is the constant travelling to Japan (and maybe her focus in streaming).

If she didn’t want to leave and still wanted to be an idol she would have just taken a break.

It seems very clear she doesn’t want to do the level of work when combined with the possibility of management screwing up rendering all that work pointless. Which is not going to be wn issue that is ever fixed because screw ups will happen and there is only so many people can take.
