I'm predicting a huge indie boom coming soon. After Doki and Mint got overwhelming support and almost instantly got tons of collabs, people will feel even more comfortable when Lemonleaf eventually redebuts and gets a big sub boost. Indies are even getting awards now. Whether this will be a good thing, bring more people like the guy just posted, or lead to the rise of the Vtubing community's Pokimane pshycobitch equivalent will remain to be seen.
Vtubing is still kind of looked at by facecam streamers the same way Hollywood looks at animation. I've seen a tweet from some account that covers ecelebs release "Top Ten watched female streamers" and the list did not include Pekora, any hololive girls at all, Ironmouse, Henya, Fillian, or Neuro-Sama. They community noted and the real top five watched female streamers were vtubers.

I think it’s partly that a lot of large corpo talent are realising that they would rather just do the streamer stuff without the idol aspect. I think corpos will still be relevant but only for those who actually want to be idols. Going indie is a lot more viable than joining Hololive if you just want to do streams because you can collab with whoever you want instead of being restricted by management. Even if you want to be an idol they are better options than Hololive tbh. Holo has a lot more reach but it comes with a lot more restrictions on what you can do and who you can interact with. Vshojo and Phase Connect honestly seem like better choices than Cover if you want to do idol stuff but want less restrictions on streaming content.
I was going to remain silent but since you asked I'll use this as an example:
This is what I find infuriating about Kiara. Everything she does is "me" centric. Shit isn't currently bad for her so "Sheiiiiitt, I don't care man I'm happy with everything". But when something IS wrong for her, it's the fucking end of the world and you god damn better pay attention to her because the world is ending. Her orisojg isn't getting enough views? She will whine about it till that changes. Add to that the fact that she is an extrovert who doesn't know how to interact with introverts. The biggest difference between her and fellow extrovert CC is CC knows that dead air time isn't always bad. Kiara fears silence and feels its her job to fill it, which results in her talking over people. She won't shut the fuck up. Any collab with her either results in her talking 50% if the time or her not engaging at all, there is no middle ground. None of the other girls are as obnoxious as she can be. Maybe I'm overblowing it, but my point is, whenever she is a part of a collab, I have to skip the stream, otherwise I wouldn't enjoy it die to being constantly annoyed by her. And I try to avoid things that upset me, rather than seek them out.

I don’t think she was surprised she had to do it. I think she underestimated how much she’d have to do it and after a period of doing so just decided it was too much.
