I still don't get the appeal of why these people keep going when it's factual truth: DSP orbiting is like sitting in liquid mercury.
Is the anger really worth it? Is the disdain so deep it's worth losing sleep? Worth alienating yourself from the wife and kids? When employers ask about the ten year work gap do they feel pride when they tell the man in front of them that it was spent consuming raw Phil streams? Has the thought ever crossed their minds "What do I do when I can't do this anymore?"
Pick up your life where you left off? You can't. You can't suddenly choose to be a father now when the time passes on. More I think on this maybe there is one big thing DSP should be hated for: He inadvertently ruined a lot of young men's lives. Maybe he should rebrand as FentSydePhil.
I think you've missed why most of these guys do this. There are genuine believers among the DSP detractors, people who detract just for the fun of it or because they genuinely hate Phil. But detracting, like most of Lolcow watching these days (even on the Farms), is a business, a bridge to making other non-DSP content, or at its most benign, a way to be a big fish in a small, shit filled pond. Almost every detractor monetizes. Almost every detractor has tried to be a bonafide gaming streamer or tried other kinds of content. And almost every detractor would fail in a community with higher standards than "Are you not DSP?"
As much as DSP desperately wants people to believe the massive community that has formed around him is because of a frothing rage at his awesomeness, the simple truth is that many of the dents he's exiled over the years are still retarded, still lonely, and still have money to burn. That's plenty of incentive for failed streamers and podcasters to transition over to making detractor content, where the bar for entry is "Can you string together two sentences?" Similar to how Phil's tattered community limps on because the leftovers in his chat seem have some kind of weird bond to each other, the anti-DSP horde is also a refuge for exiled retards who couldn't survive or stand out in the standard parasocial enviroments of the Internet (the chat communities for Kino Casino and Mad at the Internet are similiar kinds of places).
To address the specific person you're referencing, I don't think ALT hates DSP. He probably views him with the same loose disdain most detractors do. However, I suspect the thing that driving him to burn the candle at both ends is the attention. He's important, probably more important than he's ever been. He has a thousand plus people on every livestream, a ton of soft power in the community, and the finest of velcro wallets to choose from. If you've spent you're whole life feeling unimportant and lonely, even the attention of an army of the mentally stunted can be potentially intoxicating.
