Anime/Manga - Discuss Japanese cartoons and comics here; NO CULTURE WAR DOOMPOSTING!

On a semi-related note, started watching Dungeon Meshi to see if the elf was good. Immediately greeted with a Netfux tramp stamp shattering my ear drums, not good. I see studio trigger is once again selling out ala cyberpunk, cool. And the show is being produced in part by a branch of the ESG Mandating Chinese Communist Company Tencent, neat! Cowardly "french name" elf girl doesn't have much presence at all, she's got a mid-design too with the parachute pants, and the art style doesn't really do her any favors. It's kindov like Calarts/Manhua, it's nothing special.

What's worse is I'm Starting to Notice some things about the show's formula. By episode 4 there are "noble savage" orcs (with families) being introduced. By episode 5 I'm looking at caucazoid-featured negroid #576 in armor. By episode 6 I'm seeing a redskin elf skulking about... I can certainly see why Netfux picked this show up. It seems ripe for use as melting pot media. Maybe the manga will reveal better more traditional fantasy content down the roa--

Oh Jesus Christ what the fuck is that thing!? Where's Frieren the Slayer when you need her? The Calarts comparison was spot on. Turns out the lore is utterly polluted with shitskins of every stripe, and it even contains some of those obscure old tumblr demos like big-boned gingers...

Get this, in Dungeon Meh-shi, the Nigger Elves with the most Nigger'd abyssal skin are apparently the "we wuz royalty" of the elves. Yuck. Get that shit the fuck away from me, female mangaka. No thank you. With 5+ hours of my life wasted, I'm already done with Dungeon Meh-shi. Rather, I don't need it. Every other European-inspired fantasy is getting blackened into a bad captain planet commercial, I don't need to see extra darkness shoved in my face. Frieren really is the last hope for based fantasy out there.

  • There are many different types of orcs depending on the media, and a popular version in Japan are pig faced (up to full pig snouts and tusks depending on the manga) farmer clans with a countryside German level temperament and culture. They aren't always bloodthirsty barbarians but sometimes agarians at the level of a Quaker.
  • Dark elves have been a thing for a long time, usually interpreted as elves who had their skin stained dark due to demonic affiliation or corruption. They are often more aggressive and hostile but not necessarily nigger phenotype. I'd have to check but im pretty sure that scenes where we see the elf country reacting to impending doom, it shows a lot of white nobility
Honestly you'd have to be pretty racist to not be able to enjoy it because you see niggers everywhere. Like Democrat levels of racism.

Implying they haven't been selling out to waifutrannies since their inception, tainting THREE decent tokusatsu with that nonsense.
The Calarts comparison was spot on.
Who would have guessed that the westaboo studio will imitate Calarts?
Get that shit the fuck away from me, female mangaka.
Sadge that you're so thin-skinned that a female mangaka can turn you off a show. Enjoy never experiencing the greatness that is Terra E, child.

You are as bad as SJWs claiming Tolkien is racist if you think fantasy races (including one character with blue skin) are some sort of forced diversity mandate.

Stop being such a pretentious weeaboo putting down perfectly good Western cartoons as "commercials".

No, in Dungeon Meshi, "Dark elves" and Dark skinned elves are two different things, it doesn't ever get brought up in the main stor since it stays in the dungeon, but it's explained in the extras.

The reason why there's diversity in the story is because it takes place on an island that had a gold rush when a dungeon was discovered so a crap ton of different races from around the world came to get rich quick.
The orcs were fleeing underground when they got their shit kicked in, the dwarf characters were pushed out of Dwarven communities for things like debt, the Japanese were sent by their leader's dad who refused to grant a successor until one of his sons grabbed some cool shit from abroad, the elves are there because they don't trust the humans with dungeon care, etc.

Since there's no thread specifically for Undead Unluck, I'll post here that I've been seething at Luna for the last 2 days and desperately hope she gets what's coming.

Read the first chapter of Drama Queen for curiosity's sake and honestly not my thing but it is quite telling that people absolutely despise it when anything gets released with the least subtle right-wing/conservative views imaginable and they demand it to be removed because any potential criticism of left-wing/liberal policies is bigotry to them.

Season 1 of Beyblade X finished a few weeks ago. I started watching it cause the OP song was cool, and the X autism seemed funny. Bird the MC loses all the time, it's ridiculous. The whole season was an insane ride of teasing Bird finally winning. I haven't watched Beyblade since the original series, so I'm not sure when they dropped BitBeasts, but it's strange that they still yell out orders for the beyblades to do stuff, when they are just non-magical tops.

Also Bird's beyblade is called Hell's Scythe, which I was curious how it would be named in North America, as they can't sell a kid's toy with Hell in the name. They went with Scythe Incendio, and also renamed him to Robin in the dub.
Anyways here is every one of Bird's matches.

Ah, an Undead Unluck enjoyer. I'm just really sad that it seems the manga had to go into turbo speed, really reeks of "you got 8 chapters left, make them count". I don't expect any sort of tragic ending in something like this, so I'm keen to see how Fuko gets out of this one.

Here is the cope being used about liking it

Yeah buddy, 100% about colonialism and has no resemblance whatsoever to current societal ills.

And this next one is so fucking close to enlightenment, but the programming is too strong.

I find the premise fun and seeing something that doesn't just furiously suck the dick of the "other" is incredibly refreshing. I'm curious about how it's being perceived in Japan.

Though I also wouldn't be surprised if it ended flipping it all on it's head and they were bad for hatting the eleniggers.

A saint seiya shojo spinoff was announced

I'm pretty sure a shoujo Saint Seiya already existed. https://manga4life.com/manga/Saint-Seiya---Saintia-Shou , hell, seems it even had an anime. Or maybe it's just an all female cast but a shounen...

Drama Queen is just the author being assmad about losing WW2 (which is surprisingly still recurring in their media). It's funny how it's a political litmus test for everyone, but "can get away with crimes" is classic post WW2 sperging about USA marines, and I really fucking doubt it applies for Niggers in Japan. Ditto with being blamed in getting higher up positions, few companies will hire niggers for anything but global ads. However American in boards are common (ironically they tend to be the most moral people in the room).

Yeah, you are absolutely right now that I think about it.

You know what? I'm also fine with "whiteu piggu go home" being the message. The universal message of "fuck you, we got ours" is something very lacking nowadays in media and I still welcome it.

As for the series itself... I'm just wondering how long you can stretch "we murder and eat the aliens". No way they aren't getting caught sooner rather than later without a lot of narrative convenience unless there is a much bigger fuck aliens org that recruits and covers them. And even that's a stretch if alien tech is that superior.

The "calling their boyfriends partners" also makes it pretty obvious that they're talking about Americans.

Saintia Sho isn't a shoujo manga at all. It was in the same magazine as other saint seiyas, and that magazine is one of the most distant to female taste

I read the first chapter and all I gotta say I will be looking forward to it.

There's only chapter yet the salt mines are already overflowing from Twitter trannies and weeb hoodrats.

Welcome back Starship Troopers and Helldivers 2 "killing aliens le bad" discourse!
The seething is probably more kino than the manga. I assume these same people were out here applauding Japan Sinks and Psycho-Pass season 3 when it they slapping you in the face about how Japan needed to adopt Western values and open its doors to billions of the unwashed masses.

That said, I'll definitely laugh at the memes, but I probably won't seriously enjoy this manga as brilliant commentary on the state of society. I tend to really dislike fiction that hits you on the head with the author's opinions, regardless of how much I agree or disagree with them.
