I keep sneaking a look at the boards every now and then and getting more and more frustrated with the internet(and myself, since I've really built this tiny box for myself that I'd deign to visit it's hard to break out said box). Let me put aside the insufferable captcha timer for a bit; I don't know if I'm just noticing things after a break or what, but the site has gone from 60% unusable to like 90%.
For one I'm noticing a lot more blatant porn/trash threads that are there just to annoy the jannies, but they also end up annoying me because they can't quite be filtered well. I have a huge page of OP filters that usually get rid of the stupid shit but now it's slipping through that in waves. I'm especially getting frustrated with OPs like
which seem to crop up on every board and are made and remade constantly. On /v/ it's that or shilling for OLED/4k monitors.
On /fit/ it's some guy making "Ruins your life" reposts of a hemorrhoid not to mention the gazillion "is X good for you <insert risque image of instagram model here>" or seething/shilling science based lifters and generally just not being about fitness but more about ecelebs.
On /a/ it's not so much a thread but the very helpful for recommendation One Page Threads and Manga Threads have been phased out for the much inferior "isekai" threads, which while relatively fine are actively being ruined by a bunch of regulars treating it like a shitty general, constantly reposting the same unfunny shit, being colossal faggots about their fetish that they want in isekai manga(I've reached a new level of dislike for loli/shota posters) or constantly pushing their unfunny retard memes that they have to post in each and every single thread("use lens", the slideboard edit, "jerk off before posting", "korean *vomits*")
The next and more important item is that shitposters are actively entering otherwise good threads and making them unusable. It's times like these I wish for IDs or an IP counter because I'm 80% sure these fuckers samefag themselves and then some idiot takes the bait which leads to more samefagging and unusable bullshit. so many people just desperately pushing retarded twitter shit or posting porn unprompted or taking a thread in off topic directions(I made a Yakuza thread today and I'm sure the same shitposter kept trying to derail it by shitting on japan, no one took the bait but the thread didn't even break 10 posts).
For god's sake I just want to talk about lesser known video games and manga. The alt chans are still too elitist about how much better they are than 4UM/4CUCK™ and they're too busy going the same route as always with the gamer gate threads being the hotbed of activity meaning no one actually talks about video games in any capacity besides "everything bad, this game I've never heard of is bad because I've never heard of it, something something trannies" and I don't know where else to look. I'm too used to the anonymity and tempo of imageboards and nothing else feels like it can scratch that itch.
