Technically its still not over, he said he had to meet with his cabinet before he could decide on ending it.

Secret Service agent fires gun outside Yellen’s home

A Secret Service agent opened fire after a confrontation with people trying to break into cars outside the Washington home of Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen Tuesday morning, according to an agency spokesperson.

There is “no evidence to indicate anyone was struck” by the gunfire during the incident, Secret Service communications chief Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement. He said there “was no threat to any protectees during this incident and no protectees were harmed.”

Guglielmi said a Secret Service special agent “working a protective assignment” on Yellen’s block in Northwest D.C. at about 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday observed “a sedan with multiple occupants who were attempting to open car doors along the street.”

“As the sedan approached the agent, a confrontation occurred between the agent and the car’s occupants,” Guglielmi said, and the agent then discharged their service weapon. “The suspects fled the scene in the sedan, and a lookout was issued to local law enforcement.”

It wasn’t immediately clear if Yellen was home at the time of the shooting. A Treasury Department spokesperson declined to comment.

The Secret Service said the Metropolitan Police Department’s internal affairs division was investigating the incident with the U.S. Attorney’s office in D.C.

The MPD referred comment to the Secret Service. The U.S. Attorney’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Joe not pardoning Hunter was a campaign promise.

There were so many signs before election day about Kamala being a prosecutor and trite platitudes about 'no one is above the law' because thats all they had to attack Trump, but Biden has taken that attack away from them. Its so rich, at Thanksgiving my relative compared to how the republicans were lost in the wilderness after 2008.

People use RINO and neocon as interchangeable. They are not, RINO is a pretty vague term, has no real basis. Neocon is a very well defined term, mostly pro war profting and very interventional foreign policy. Domestically it carries little meaning. Paleocon is its opposite, but it doesn't really get used a ton, it's pre MAGA MAGA, basically. MAGA is more jewish friendly, but only because of the overrepresentation of jews being neocons, and paleocons getting labelled as anti semitic. Irving Kristol (Bill's dad) is considered the godfather of neocons, and the jewish influence can't be overlooked. that's why you'll hear some of the folks most critical of jews and jewish power call it as such. I think it's more not all neocons are jews, but most jews are neocons.

Pat Buchanan was the standard bearer of paleocons

If you want to get very technical, what's typically called RINOs, the actual core GOP establishment, especially the New England ones, are the actual Republicans, the Southern and Midwestern voter base are the RINOs who just grabbed onto the "Not Democrats/Socialists" party over the years. Especially after the Neo-Cons were used to push the Paleocons out of the party. William F Buckley Jr's primary purpose was to write the actual right-wingers, especially the John Birch Society, out of polite company. The Neo-Cons aren't just Jewish, although a lot of them are, but the originals were heavily former Trotskyites, including Irving Kristol, who just ditched Eternal Worldwide Communist Revolution for Eternal Worldwide Liberal Democratic Revolution. Also lining their own pockets, but when was the last time you encountered a Marxist who wasn't a dysgenic mutant driving by envy?

MAGA is basically Boomer flavored somewhat socially liberal Paleoconservativism at its core and while Trump did tear Pat Buchanan down years ago, he actually called him before his first campaign to apologize to Pat and ask advice. Paleocons never really bought into the Post War Consensus after WWII, that's why they had to be cast into the outer political darkness. The PWC is Western civic religion at this point, thou shalt not question the 6 Million, thou shalt not question the narrative about WWII, thou shalt not question Liberal Atlanticism, etc. The Communists won WWII and both American political parties are driving you towards faceless bureaucratic Statism, just one goes the speed limit and the other set the bus on fire and has put a brick on the accelerator.

Wouldn't each province enter as its own state, or be considered an unincorporated territory like Puerto Rico?

They could but that would seriously tip the balance of power in the Union which would get people really angry and lead to federal fuckery. Annexing Canada would need this sort of divisions to stop another Bleeding Kansas from happening over which side each state would go to. This would be the best split without having to remake the entire thing from scratch.

That includes getting the French in there to stop being French. Teach the savages some fucking English

You would have a easier time getting California to be a Red state again.

I can attest to this. Try talking to people 60+ years old about discussing the Second World War objectively. Give it up to three minutes before they start screaming their heads off about Hitler and accuse you of Holocaust denial, even if you don't mention either of those specific topics.

It's like asking if why, when WWII was started in response to the invasion of Poland, did we hand Poland over to one of the two invaders.
