There isn't an ounce of gameplay to see. It's an hour and a half long on a casual playthrough and 90% of it is cutscenes.

This is why it's important to keep your games gatekept or straight up underground. Any time it gets popular, it'll only consider these hyper sensitive blokes who can't separate fiction from reality and act like a fiction, 2D character's a worst rapist than actual rapists that exist in front of us without any of us even knowing.

I hate the modern horror audience than I hate modern horror itself. Again, they all act the same. Any time a fandom gets big, everyone does the same thing. Everyone speaks in Tumblr. Everyone makes the same "inserting your comfort character in a meme/situation/what would they do/eat/tier list/etc" images, all of it. You could tell me Mouthwashing originated from Tumblr and I'd believe you dead on.

There's not much you can do to counter a fandom from starting, but the important thing is to put your foot down on what you, the creator, mean and want. The fans who warp things to their expectations can whine, but that's all they can do. Make shitty fanart, fanfiction, and rants about how the creator(s) is/are dumb for not giving them what they want. Just delete their messages, give attention to good work and interesting questions, and focus on making a good game.

There's dangers in being the lone wolf, and you should still keep people you can trust in on the know, but they should be on the same exact page: Do not interact with troons. Do not reference them, do not talk to them, do not allow them into anywhere that matters, like a private group or related administration. Active action should come as a last resort.

The cynical fact is that fandom is good. It's free advertisement, it gets more eyes on your project and therefore more support. But you should only support the positive and untroonish, or all that which lines your pockets if you're jewish. Advertisement through fanart – porn especially – is powerful whether you like it or not. What do you think an internet degenerate would rather engage with, a shitty attention-grabbing ad that anyone reasonable mentally edits out, or pages upon pages of big anime titties of julaaaay_(yourprojecthere)? Unfortunately, a significant amount of artists are troonlike, so you can't go dropping your powerlevel all the time. Header size NIGGER is the nuclear option, and an effective one, but it isn't as powerful as simply shutting the fuck up and not investing in the social media rollercoaster past the initial push.

Our very own Kiwistation employs the prior nuclear option because it's appropriate. If they cannot handle a repo labelled "slavemaster" for a game where we regularly lynch niggers and pajeets, they won't handle the intended community either. Yet, redditors and others servers complaining about the server is its own free advertisement; even the undesirables are welcome, as they make for productive cows. It does help that everyone actually is on the same page of calling the troon that asks for female character options what it is: Gaping.

With all these fandom drama there should be a guide for creators on how to avoid bad fans or drama into your community. Like don't have a discord, don't acknowledge troons, don't be friendly or acknowledge furfags, don't often reply or engage with fans especially if they're minors, say that romance is not a focal point of your work or find shipping weird to dissuade shippers from overbearing you with shipping questions, don't be too based/racist/homophobic or you'll get the Groypers and unfunny culture war fags, keep your politics to yourself or at least make a separate anon account to politisperg to your hearts content, don't listen or favor a popular fan creator because they'll try to influence you to fuck up your work and etc.
