The UK decided to kill nearly half a million of its own people and end it's international relevance because it couldn't let a fascist power take over a city that was mostly German that was under the control of a fascist power (people forget Poland wasn't a democracy, and was as antisemitic as Germany was).

Joining either world wars was a collosal unnecessary mistake by the British, who had the largest naval power until the 1930s and a gigantic empire to supply it's industry and economy, London was the financial capital of the world, British industry was ahead, you controlled Singapore and Egypt, the faucets of world trade, you had the cultural leadership of the English speaking world, you had more Nobel prizes than anyone else combined.

What did you get out of it?
Well, we'll get to pay for a massive holocaust memorial built next to parliament

Good morning, USPG!

I do not have a link for this because I'm listening to AM radio, but I heard from sources connected to the Trump campaign that the most recent smear attempt on Hegseth comes from a personal e-mail between him and his mother, which the New York Times obtained via a leak somehow and took completely out of context. Furthermore, the NYT threatened Hegseth's mother by saying either she comments and goes on the record, or they would publish their piece as-is without any alterations. Really scummy stuff.
God I hate journalists SO FUCKING MUCH. We need to fucking ob-

No, no. We STRONGLY abhor all forms of violence here. We do not support it in any way, no matter how funny it is.
-serve how crucial and important they are, what with them being the heart of information flow in America.

:really:

If anything started happening as a consequence for their immoral, scummy, dishonest, and corrupt actions, I certainly hope it isn't a violent and harsh lesson that they remember for the rest of their lives. If their lives continue after that consequence, that is.

It's clearly corrupt.
Oh yeah sure not disputing that but I think we are at the point of everything going mask off anyhow with the Byzantine politicking on the DNC side. I think this pardon will be a millstone for the dems and a boon for trump. It’s caused more in fighting within the dems with some like chuck todd turning on the bidens and others rushing to defend it

We already have to deal with stink ditches and horny faggots taking this site offline, realistically we do NOT want to cross the line that gets the government the authority to take us down.

While a random CEO being assassinated is amusing, we cannot be certain that assassinating this particular CEO was a good thing. It's possible that this one was a good guy that planned to enact customer-friendly policies, but was taken out to protect shareholder value and corrupt politicians. Endorsing the assassination of other people is not a good thing because we can't guarantee that the assassin has made the correct determination that the target is someone that has to be taken out. There could be copycat killings where it turns out the target had no impact on events, or losing them was detrimental to the people of this nation.

Ugh. Well look, I don't really give a fuck. It's all better than the last 4 years. I'm still optimistic and, for the first time in years, I'm looking forward to the future.

Hegseth would be cool though.
yeah tbf I don't think recessapalooza really got much beyond online chatter
