UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson fatally shot outside Hilton hotel in Midtown in targeted attack: cops - Just Part and Parcel of visiting a Big City

I've gone through the last 900-odd images by mostly skipping to highlights, so maybe I've missed it, but:

has anyone put forth any idea about how the gunman knew where to find this guy? Was the CEO a fan of walking in his suit at 6:40AM at this part of NY regularly or something? I thought I read he was coming out of a hotel; if so, that's very interesting that someone knew where to find him!
I already made a post about this but I can't be fucked to find it. There's a bunch of conspiracy tards all over tweeter saying he must've had inside help and a bunch of shit.

On the companies website they listed they'd be having a conference, where it would be and what time it would be at. The guy (according to eyewitness interviews) camped out basically all night.

His wife and children loved him, and he loved them.

If his decisions harmed someone in particular, I respect their and their loved ones' anger and ill wishes. Everyone else is just hyperventilating into their headgear.

Grow up.

Who do you think is going to vote him out? Shareholders, whose stock has increased on a hockey-stick trajectory for 20 years running? Lol, sure.

"Litigate him out" for doing his job (which was increasing profitability and thereby shareholder equity at the parent company)?

Yes, pressuring legislators for additional/ refined regulation on healthcare insurers would be a civilized thing to do. Though good luck.

Assassination is third-world bullshit, best reserved for coup-eyed rivals and despots, and anyone celebrating open murder on the streets of America is a vile piece of shit.
Lol, lmao, faggot

And libs of tiktok whines about words hurting

Never thought I'd see the day taytay hit the based button and libs of tiktok reminded us all she's schlomos (((daughter))) but here we are.
Conservatives defend health insurance CEOs because mUh PrIvAtE hEaLtHcArE. They are just as insufferable as the liberals they mock.

I guess that is the big morality question of our times. Do you want cheap healthcare and medical costs, but be punished for saying rude words on the net and unable to scream racial slurs at footlocker employees?

Or do you want the ability to be insanely racist in all forms but have a shitty healthcare system that is expensive and all your country does all day is give money to other corrupt countries to fight pointless proxy wars?

Tough call.

Not using gloves and buying shit at a Starbucks? Not sure if this is that well thought out.
Using a silencer is also just kind of retarded. it isn't going to eliminate the sound, its just going to reduce it. There's no way you aren't going to be spotted using something like that in the middle of NYC, silencer or no. I cant imagine many people buy silencers in NYC either, hes fucked.

Sorry, can't hear you over the sound of my functional healthcare system.
The defense of the US' disaster of a healthcare system is like a codependent of a drug addict justifying their behavior. All it does is impoverish you for worse care and worse outcomes than anywhere else in the developed world and despite the lies about its "quality" the single biggest killer of Americans is medical errors and the industry is full of imported Third World slave labor with questionable or nonexistent education.

Don't forget the mandate to purchase insurance from a for-profit oligopoly with zero competition at the cost of an enormous tax penalty from the federal government. Who are they working for again?

The US gets the best of both worlds.

You get punished, debanked and fired for saying rude words on the Internet or having the wrong political opinions, plus a shitty healthcare system that is expensive, and all the government does is piss away nearly a trillion dollars on interest payments on the national debt, 15 times what has been spent on foreign proxy wars, also through incurring more national debt.

Even better, around $5 trillion of the national debt is due to actual foreign wars that we outright lost or at best failed to achieve any of our strategic goals (also a loss) over the past 20 years.

I don't know dude. In Germany we are coming to the point where our healthcare is crumbling under the weight. My healthcare plan with the company I am with has been raised 1.4% and I've heard from a friend of mine that he got almost 2%. They are raising it because at the end of year there is NOTHING left. My dentist told me last year in December that he wouldn't do my procedure because there is no money left. After some back and forth one issue had to be resolved because a nerve was damaged, which he then paid out of pocket to then hopefully reclaim it from my insurance next year.

I am just saying that our systems are also far from perfect. So I don't see your high horse just two donkeys in different colours.

Edit: autocorrect is a bitch

Imagine if this happened to corrupt politicians. America just might stop sucking Israel's ass.

No. What would happen, instead, is that after a handful... The government would stop pretending it isn't an elite ruling class. Armed guards everywhere. Private security ramped up to 11. Washington would become an effective fortress city. Gun laws? Oh, you ain't seen gun grabbing yet that would match what would happen.

These sorts of people do not "reflect" in the way we like to think humans reflect. It's never "how can I make myself better so this problem stops", it's "how can I remove the problem".

Deny, depose, defend

This reads like a man who feels the company has the blood of a loved one on its hands or could be a former employee who was sickened by the process or just hated management. It’s a coin flip, but angry ex-employees murdering a boss is more common than vigilante action. Ex-employee would also be familiar with the company’s big investor day shindig and how it runs.

The word “depose” threw me off for a minute because I was thinking in legal terms, but the other meaning is “to forcefully remove from office” and the shooter definitely did just that to the CEO.

i'm conflicted because on one hand i presume the man had a family that loved and cared about him

on the other hand i'm sure that many of the people his company denied insurance to also had families that loved them, too.

and i think that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few

therefore his death can only ever be a net positive to society

Anyone mentioning Welrods or BT VP9 again will be personally smitten down by Gun Jesus himself.

As for the healthcare discussion, people are getting worked up about American vs. European but they forget that systems are not so simple. You can have great private healthcare, and you can have great socialized healthcare. But the issue is that both systems still rely on people to run them. Without a high trust society of law abiding citizens and well meaning bureaucrats and administrators it won't matter what system you push for the end result will be shit.

It's almost impossible to magically fix a nation's problems by just copying something another nation did. You can't have Swiss Healthcare without Swiss Taxes, Swiss Societal Hegemony, Swiss Government and Swiss Traditions. You can't just have Japanese Public Transport without Japanese Politeness, Japanese High Trust and Japanese Face Saving Culture.
