You know, these powerful people could avoid the issue altogether by not being scumbags. Avi Loeb, a theoretical physicist at Harvard who runs programs with hundred-million-dollar budgets, does not need a security detail because he doesn't treat people poorly or do shitty things.

Gaetz left of his own choice he didn't want the fight. Force senators to vote on record against Trumps picks and you will see them change real quick especially with Musk openly saying he will fund their opponents.

Maybe where you live. Where I live, there was a Hispanic couple going around in an unmarked, windowless white van and they straight up went into people's yards and open garages to steal stuff. The new thing around here (predominantly rural area) is stealing white trucks with service bodies on them and putting on high vis vests and hardhats and walking around with clipboards or other official looking tools in broad daylight to do their thieving. It's a smarter scheme than I'd give most of them credit for, most people see high vis gear and never think twice, even police who are starting to catch on and ask for company ID's when they see them. We don't have tons of illegals here, but Shitcago does, and I expect shit like that to get worse as they overflow the city and it's suburbs and start pouring out into the cornfields.

This is happening in my area as well. Guys get utility trucks, hi-vis vests, and gear that says "National Grid." They go around asking for access to the property to do an inspection. I know that National Grid does do unannounced inspections, but that's because most meters are now installed out of the home and in a place visible from the street. They will never have some dude knock on your door unannounced and ask to get into your home to see the meter.

I know they've tried it with my house because they ring my doorbell, then my dog starts barking like crazy, and they walk away because they do not want to deal with an alert dog. Then I check to see who rang my doorbell, see it's one of these scumbags, and then I call National Grid to ask if they have people out doing inspections. They say no and I report it to the police.

It's always some fucking Hispanic-looking dude. And people wonder why I love Trump so much.

They may have their problems but these courier services are absolutely shite.

Oh yeah, I experienced this like a week ago. I was on my couch in the pitch black at like 3:30 am watching a movie and you can see out the front window to my front porch from the couch. I see movement and a dark silhouette moving around. I flew off the couch, threw open the front door and nearly tackled the poor Amazon guy who almost shit himself. I told him that Amazon should make them wear light up vests or something because one of them is end up getting shot if they keep doing shit like that.

Amazon does like 3am deliveries now and the drivers are out there in the dark, wearing non-identifiable clothing, messing with shit on your porch. I don't see how this isn't a recipe for disaster.
