It's kind of odd how Daniel has such a reputation for being a "metalhead" when most of the artists he champions (generally hair bands like Motley Crue and Dokken) are at most hard rock. His only claims to actual metal music are a handful of NWOBHM and black metal* acts. He hates the death metal genre with a passion and is eerily silent on the topic of thrash and other related subgenres.

And before you ask: no, Motorhead wasn't metal either.


*a genre which he stretches awfully thin to boot; sorry, but Venom and Bathory are thrash/heavy, not black. Just because something influenced a genre doesn't mean it is that genre, hence why despite Led Zeppelin and Motorhead's contribution to the genre, they don't actually belong to it.

As much as I despise the Disney shill Mike Stoklasa and his ragtag group of plebs and their Reddit-tier following, he does have a point that thing like "The Ring Theory" are completely stupid. But, you know... after watching a few minutes of both Disney Star Wars movies... I can't help but post this:

This guy's politics, taste in music and taste in games run fairly parallel to my own. And I STILL can't sit through one of his videos. That's kind of impressive. In this video he lost me at that first "YAAA KNOOOWWWW..." IOW immediately.

That aside, I still find him extremely entertaining (his videos obliterating The Amazing Atheist and MovieBob were excellent), you just have to run a bias filter on the guy the size of a fucking ocean liner.
