It's a common misconception that doctors are the big beneficiary of the broken US health system. In reality, the insurance companies, big pharma, and large hospital systems (primarily their top execs) are the big winners, not individual doctors.Daily Beast article saying Reddit mods had to delete a thread about the killing because even Doctors were talking shit about the deceased: https://www.thedailybeast.com/leadi...care-ceos-murder-after-users-slam-his-record/
If you ever question this, wait until an insurance company and large local hospital system get into a contract pricing negotiation dispute. All of a sudden, there will be an absolute slew of commercials from both sides slandering each other during sports broadcasts, which is some of the highest dollar local air time.
And who else constantly advertises during national NFL games? That's right, big pharma's latest (non-cure, constant re-dose required) drug lineup.
Also, it's often pointed out that the highest paid public employee in most states is the biggest university's football or basketball coach. However, the top officer of prestigious university hospital systems is often right up there with them. For instance, the President of the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center (affiliated with UTexas) makes over $5mil/year. Surely that's more than the Vermont football coach. And you can bet there's a bunch of other overpaid executive bloat leeching off the system with him.
