I'm pretty sure that the first thing they'd teach you in paralegal school wouldn't be the basics of tort or defamation -- it'd be about the importance of the rules of civil procedure and the because as a paralegal, that'd be pretty much your fucking job. Make sure those documents get filed in the right place at the right time -- because failure to do so means we go from being the litigant to being the person litigated against, We go from suer to sued.

And how do you figure out what the correct procedure is in any given situation? Well, if it's not something you're doing every fucking day, you READ THE DAMN DOCUMENTS. How can you admit in a filing that you screwed it up because you didn't bother reading how to do it -- all the while pretending you have some qualification as a paralegal? Good job that law firm sacked him before he had the opportunity to do any real damage.

It's only really stupid people that are so binary that they're 100% on one side only and the idea of even agreeing with anything on the opposite side is a bad thing. I'm center-left and I have no problem calling out the hypocrisy on either side. Neither one has a monopoly on the truth. I've voted left and voted right. And it's frankly unfair to demonize the other side because they made the mistake of having views different than your own.

"Forum shopping" is also technically not even improper, nor does it render a suit invalid. It might be part of an argument for why a change of venue is more appropriate, and some doctrines (like Erie for practice upon removal to federal court under diversity jurisdiction) discourage its use for advantage, but generally the choice of forum is just part of the "race to the courtroom door" that makes it generally advantageous to be the first party to file.
