Take something like methadone clinics. Even small sized American cities have a methadone clinic, even small cities often have several. You know why? Because there are money to be made and companies like to make money by meeting a need.

And the same goes for any kind of medical clinic. Even big hospitals are often for profit.

I am not denying that he was a piece of shit as I said. But this system was in place before he took place as CEO. Do you feel better that he's been executed for upholding something that Americans have supported for decades? Was murdering him the correct answer?

Simple minds have the opinion that simply killing the people who uphold the system will magically fix the system. My country has shown that no matter who you push out when the system is rotten you have to consistently push over and over to reform it. Killing off people for their wrong decision just makes a system of retribution that never actually resolves the issues just makes people feel better for a short period of time.

A lot of the issues in medicine are due to administrative bloat to navigate the insurance system. On top of doctors they're paying accountants to track procedures, people to check over how procedures are billed and apply for insurance claims, people to make treatment algorithms to streamline insurance claims, managers to oversee those people, managers to manage the managers. HR to govern the hiring and firing of the admin staff. There's a whole superstructure of leeches pulling money out of it. And I know a lot of it is necessary due to rampant fraud, but the amount of admin staff relative to doctors on staff is growing larger every day.
