Just for context, the whole issue here was apparently Emily was in a group chat with some people ages ago. She complained that she was sick of the weird tranny shit. I got mixed up on this myself the other day, but her name's Emily lol. She stole Samantha and has a very colorful history of theft and vegetable abuse.

As with everything Emily, the Samantha Prater name has multiple origins depending on what lies she wants to tell.
Many believe that Samantha Prater was a classmate of hers and Emily stole her name for some reason. Emily claims this is not true and proves it by showing her yearbook with every page except the one with the last names that start with P.
Sometimes Emily would claim she used a random name generator to come up with the name.
The best excuse is Emily claims her aunt had a horse named Samantha Prater and Emily named herself after the horse.
