Any place absent of the piping system underneath would do, place directional windows of the 4x4x4x4 tile room and use the pipe dispenser to place the scrubbers and vents, the upper two tiles would be the former and the lower the latter (Both of them could be extended), the exhaust pipes can lead to either outside space or to an empty air pump/canister.
You could even stand there burning as long as you wear the atmospheric voidsuit in place.

Pretty much, reason I mentioned the workshop and the toxins testing room specifically is those rooms are already pretty much ready to go in terms of not having any supply/scrubbing pipes set in them, they're more or less purpose built for this sort of experimentation

My times on /tg/ were also through the eyes of an Engineer that redecorated the bar with a rage cage, and sometimes I removed the glasses around the electrified grilles. Again, reminder, this guy was a coder for /vg/station not 4 years ago, most active 8 years ago. I believe this was his last commit to /vg/station before he later silently broke the github automation bot he did for them. If he's 24 now, that'd mean he was underage when he was coding there. The "science" in SS13 is already dumb (space being cold for example) but this is painfully stupid. At least it's a common misconception that space is cold and doesn't have an insulating effect (and game mechanics at this point rely on it being cold), who doesn't know that nitrogen is famous for being inert?

All these faggots did was sit around and talk like it was VRChat. Played as janitor, walked in on some security guards having weird ass furry sex in a public room, one of them then proceeded to beat the living shit out of me and I had to crawl my ass back to medbay.

That was the only entertaining situation I was in for nearly a fucking hour.

I've been playing SS14 lately, and it is pretty solid, foundation wise. It still lacks a lot of content that SS13 has, but the performance and the absence of space lag is already a plus over BYOND's engine.

And yes, I've heard, read and seen firsthand how mentally deranged the SS14 devs are. It's oustanding how the curse has been broken by these guys.
