I don't see the logic behind Flynt announcing his candidacy for the United States House of Representative nearly two years prior to the actual election. It is not nearly as big of a political position as the President of the United States for one. And even in the 2016 election, no candidate had announced their candidacy at this day two years ago (and Trump did not announce his until June 16). Unless I am missing something, Flynt would have benefitted from waiting until he was more organized to announce his candidacy. But this is John and are we really expecting him to use logic?

I am glad I came across this cow. His political mishap will be glorious to watch.

It allows Brianna to get a bunch of attention on herself (and stay relevant) without actually doing anything. She's the most textbook narcissist we have on this site.

Just let that sink in. Lynch finds this job easy. He gets elected, he takes his duties seriously but finds it less stressful than when he was in charge of a union.

Labor union politics are on a whole other level of drama and competition. Just work at UPS or any other company where union membership is mandatory to keep the job.

Also I can imagine congressional elections are relaxing when you barely have anyone to run against you. Look at his wikipedia page, it has a detailed list of the elections he participated in.

Just going to point this out again as a by the by (because this thread moves so fast).

Lynch, who she's up against finds congress and elections more relaxing than when he was President of the Iron Workers Union.

That's why Wu has absolutely no chance in this if she actually does run. Lynch has a genuine natural talent for politics, not just a mindless thirst for power like Wu. He's throughtful, charismatic, passionate, intelligent, and most importantly genuinely gives a shit about ensuring that every one in his jurisdiction gets fair treatment. He's a pretty damn good politician and he's got a good brain for this shit. Compare that to Wu who couldn't give less of a shit about other people, only has an interest in politics because it'll get her name out to the public, is egotistical, hideously incompetent at everything she does, and prefers to exclusively cater to niche groups like black lives matter and the LGBT community because they get him SJW brownie points. honestly if you're a hard working average joe with a family to feed who's going to look more appealing to you? The hard working Everyman that cares about the place where he lives and wants the best for everyone, or the shrieking, spoiled rotten yuppie that only wants the position so they can feel important and sit in a big boy chair? It's like something out of a fucking cartoon, it's so black and white.

Wu's campaigning with the grace and intelligence of an It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia character
In other words she's just in it for the bribe Steven Lynch will pay her to end her campaign. She'll invest that money into the next scheme or "episode" if you prefer.

She appears to think she can win the election focusing solely on "we need tech". Because that's worked so good for her so far.

Lets run a campaign around tech to a bunch of people who are losing their jobs to tech. Also lets push progressive social issues to a bunch of Catholics.

Is this really her campaign plan or is it just setting up a "my district is sexist" excuse down the road?

It'll be like this:

I was once cornered by him at a Republican event; he was kind of drunk and was talking about how he and his wife were going to run the state some day.

He was once also arrested for shoplifting beer and cashews from the Hoover, AL Walmart in 2012-ish. He later made the runoff for State Auditor--a position tasked with keeping up with state property--in 2014.

Interesting guy.

Man, the Wu running for office thing is going to make this thread hit 1000 pages so fast. Already over halfway there, and it's only been August since it opened.

Long live John Walker FLynt, king of the lolcows! Able to have a 4th thread made in the very near future.
Wu wants that Mooby this year!

Also now that Wu is an official candidate, first FEC filing is due by April 15. Will be interesting to see where the money goes and who the hell is giving to this moron.
My guess is few contributions over $200 and a lot of self funding.

Eh, not really. It's actually pretty common to declare a year or two before an election. You're right, though, when it comes to the organization thing--most people would work behind the scenes for months, maybe even years (and certainly at least for a few weeks), to get things in order beforehand. Brianna doesn't know shit about political campaigns, though, hence all of this hysterical amateur hour bullshit.

Absolutely. It's always about attention with Wu. One could argue that it's about attention with a lot of politicians, but, then again, a great deal of them are actually competent and have accomplishments.

Not to mention that Wu doesn't even live in the district, which is just icing on top of the cake dumpster fire.
