Why is Brazil a Shithole? - Wasted potential for a large resource rich country

the USSR sent commies to infiltrate all over the world. They did it to all the continents, especially central and south america. That problem was never really dealt with (except in Argentina recently). The people are habituated to the commie mindset of gibs me dat.

I don't know much about Brazil. I know they deposed their well-liked Emperor on a whim. Similar treachery ended the Kingdom of Portugal, and as per King Edward VII:
"They murdered two gentlemen of the Order of the Garter in the street like dogs and in their own country no one cares!"
I dissent from the common opinion that it's all on the African blood. There's something intrinsically niggerish about the Portuguese.

Necroposting but Brazil was supposed to be an "emergent superpower" alongside China. But due to rampant corruption, violence, social inequality, agrarian economy, failed industrialization and retarded bureaucracy Brazil dun goofed.

We had brief periods of economic growth due to some worldwide economic stability that lasted 'till the next crisis (1929 stock market crash, 1970s oil crisis and 2008 stock market crash) but that's expected of a LatAm country.

Along with Brazil's history of refusing to fully industrialize in the XIX century and alternating between faux-democratic oligarchy and authoritarianism you have a country that's doomed to be solely for raw material exportation for whom it may interest or is willing to buy.

In Brazil there is this modern technology called a "suicide shower".

While we in normal countries spanning from china to cuckistan can safely enjoy a shower at any temperature we want, these cheap degenerates pursue pure profit. What they get in return is instead of running water through a separate boiler/heater, they wire up the shower head itself and the mains power being sent through an exposed wire heats up the water as it flows through the pipes in the shower head, until it deposits onto you. When these work, they don't even work that well, their heat is reliant on the water flow i.e. too little and you'll burn yourself, too much and there's no difference. At their best, they still give their users electric shocks from time to time. At their worst, exposed high voltage electricity and water on a drenched person, do the math.

I think the suicide shower is a perfect example to show how Brazil as a nation failed. This level of ingenuity exists in all of their fields, they demolish industry and impose 1000% tariffs on things they can't even make, tear up their railway tracks and provide no alternatives for farmers to bring their cops to the city, and the like.

The modern shower is perfectly safe however the wires tend to melt and then you gotta buy a new one.

Here's an informative video on the matter (with a 1930s model for comparison, back then it was the TRUE suicide shower)

Ayo more suicide shower lore dropped 🔥🔥🔥
Wouldn't doubt a well engineered shower that has a built in electric heating method in itself isn't safe, a lot of problems equally can come from poor installation, maintenance, no grounding, which is evidently quite common

I mean it's reasonable, back in the 70s people heated up a metal basket full of water and you took your bath with that water. The expensive alternative was the suicide shower, most people didn't buy into it for obvious reasons and because it was expensive at the time. Then they invented the plastic shower and since it was cheap and somewhat safe for the standards of the 80s people bought it. The tech got better and that's it. Think of it as a lamp but it's a shower.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered those showerheads with exposed wires could heat water. It made me realize Brazil is truly the campeao do mundo, as they already live in 2077.

Is there a reason why blue plastic water tanks are so ubiquitous? Even in large towns, I saw them everywhere.

An indicator that it's meant to be drinkable, materials for such tanks also are UV/algae growth resistant if they don't cheap out. They probably don't have a reliable citywide plumbing system if each resident has to maintain their own tank.

Plumbing is another issue in Brazil since sanitation is lacking in slum areas in Brazil.

It used to be worse when Brazil was still a mostly agrarian nation. In the 19th century bath was something only indigenous people would often do as Brazilians would stick to only 5 baths per year. Usually when changing underwear.

Now imagine a bunch of sweating and grimy people while heating in a tropical climate.

Sewage system was basically throwing dung in the river by the pier or harbor.

Plumbing was non-existent so people would shit and piss in dug holes or in buckets in the yard since Brazilian houses didn't had bathrooms. Plumbing would only be introduced in Brazil in late 19th century.

It's simple. Low IQ shit skins. They will make any place a shithole. Take away all the shit skins in Brazil and replace them with white European people and Brazil will be great. As far as their women are concerned you can't look at the cherry picked examples of their society. Look at the average Brazilian woman and you will find they aren't that attractive. The same thing goes for other countries. When people say X women in X country are sexy or attractive it's usually the cherry picked examples. What you want to see is the average women. That's what you would most likely encounter and get stuck with.
In other words, the south of brazil. They have a (politically incorrect) saying that the small southern part of brazil supports the rest and it's true. The south is almost like germany or switzerland in culture, and it's also why it's one of the prime areas for supermodel scouting.

Plumbing in cities isn't great either. For some reason the most common way to heat water for showers is to do it electrically right inside the nozzle that water comes out of. Sometimes you feel the current run through you as you turn the knob, particularly in the north.
They probably don't have a reliable citywide plumbing system if each resident has to maintain their own tank.
If you stay there for a while you get used to the surprise days without water from the faucet, where you start to ration your own tank water and people in the city start to really smell from not showering.

$$$

Let's not forget, brazil is also the country with the highest STD rate in the world. 1 in 3.

I noticed that certain favillas of Brazil lack street view coverage because it was too dangerous due to the ongoing gang warfare that lasts for decades. In fact the 2002 film City of God had to filmed in a different but similar looking favilla due to the gang warfare in the real City of God and both these favillas lack streetview coverage altogether. Much like how certain rural areas in Mexico lack street view coverage due to cartel presence.

Even if they do have running water, it's generally not clean at all. I remember having to carrying a filled giant water tank several hundreds of meters that one time in Mexico. Imagine doing that multiple times a month. That's Brazil for you.

It's "favela". Or you could use "slum".
"Favilla" sounds like a Spanish or Italian dish.

Not only because of that. The movie was filmed in São Paulo despite the story taking place in 1970s Rio de Janeiro because the studio was located in São Paulo and they needed a slum that would look like Cidade de Deus since it is one of the few slums in Rio that aren't located on a hill. Most slums in São Paulo are built on flat land.

Above is what the usual A&N nigger would say.

I could argue that Germany is superior than Brazil but lol it isn't the country is falling apart so actually maybe we're better... but we don't have the euro. Or a functioning economy. Ah, so many variables...
