Culture Oppenheimer Actor Emma Dumont Comes Out as Trans-Masculine and Non-Binary, Uses They/Them Pronouns - Dumont will continue to go by Emma professionally and Nick in their personal life

Emma Dumont is sharing a major life update.

Dumont, best known for playing Jackie Oppenheimer in the 2023 Oscar-winning biopic Oppenheimer, and Lorna Dane/Polaris in the comic book series The Gifted, came out as trans-masculine and non-binary this week per their representative, and will go by they/them pronouns instead of she/her.

TMZ was first to report the news.

Their Instagram bio reflects their new pronouns and name — Nick — though Dumont's representative confirmed Dumont will continue to go by Emma professionally.

"They identify as a trans masculine non-binary person. Their work name is still going to be Emma Dumont, but they will go by Nick with friends and family," the rep TMZ.

"Only call me Nick if ur cool okay?" they wrote on their updated Instagram profile.

Dumont shared a carousel of Instagram photos earlier this week, including a bathroom selfie and a shot of themselves holding a guitar.

Their next role is in a film coincidentally titled New Me. The film is currently in post-production and does not yet have a release date.

PEOPLE reached out to Dumont's representative for comment.

If there's any conclusion to be drawn about Western women, it's that they demand to have their cake and eat it, too.

They make less news on this site because they're less entertaining than narcissistic men in dresses, but the greatest tragedy of trans bullshit is it's very attractive to insecure young girls, which is at some point most of them. This was the point of Abigail Shrier's book, Irreversible Damage.

I'm going to share a major life update.

I'm coming out as a trans-utensil and non-binary pop up toaster this week and will go by brown/burnt pronouns instead of he/him.

I will continue to use Nero as my professional name, but my close friends and family will call me "stupid cunt" .

Yeah, that side of things isn't really funny, it's highly concerning. I wouldn't want to be raising a teenage girl right now.

Wonder which online hugbox convinced her to do this. I always find it interesting that "celebrities" go incognito on social media and eventually decide to announce their gender retardation to the world. Reminds me of Michael Scott declaring bankruptcy.

One day we might even get to see her failed rotdog in the SRS thread. That's as famous as she'll ever be now.

I suspect it’s the talent agency that represents her that concocted this idea. “I’m a tranny but you’re not going to be able to tell” is perfect to meet diversity quotas without Jewish producers having to look at some zippertits when they fuck her on the casting couch.

This is a pretty interesting about-face from Ellen Page’s playbook, tbh. Perhaps the back room people are more willing to accept the reality that an insignificant actress screeching “AM BOY NOW NOT GIRL EVER ONLY BE BOY ON THE TV NOW” wasn’t particularly favorable to anyone’s bottom line.

Depends which denomination of troonery you adhere to.

- Troonism 1.0 believes in "gender identity" separate from physical sex. Thus having a "girl brain" is a thing, and must be innate to validate their "born this way" claims and their focus on trans'ing children. It's not a post-Floydmas social contagion, they "were always trans" but just had internalized transphobia or whatever suppressing it.

- Cult of the Non-Binitarian claims gender as fluid and undefined, meaning it can strike at any age, time, or place. This maximizes the number of casual recruits, but makes claims of "necessary medical care" (chemical & surgical butchery) ridiculous...if "woman" can mean anything and no physical traits are tied to it, why do you need to turn yourself into a blowup doll? Why chop up and sterilize a child whose "identity" may change in a year or a month?

As with most Leftists coalitions, it's contradictory and fragile, but so far has held together against its common enemy (anything straight/White/male/Christian).

I can understand this in ugly women, but why would any attractive woman choose to be a guy? That's just crazy.

It's not like any of them will ever pass for anything but a sad pooner anyway.
