Some of my best Burt scenes.
Sam coming in proclaiming him the Ultimate Rapist.

Also him chasing Connor and running into the door while Sam giggles and shouts he's created the Ultimate Rapist.

I found something odd in the comment section of Burts Jim O'Hara's first video. This comment chain was made 12 days ago, but Burt hasn't had access to any personal devices since the beginning of Fishtank. Did Burt put someone else in charge of the account while he was gone?

This is an amazing 45 minutes of Sam and Jet addressing several elephants regarding the Season and the future for Fishtank.
Fishtank fucking sucks and I love it, whatever. It appears like they do appreciate the show in a way I can agree with, reminiscing about how good Famous House was, appreciating Jobe and lamenting the failures. They are pretty keyed in on what worked and didn't at least, even seem to know what they should have done different, such as not inviting Alex wife, even if it was funny, it killed Alex and they did want to keep him.
This Season is ending today, somehow. I can not say it was a bad one completely, but it was definitively the most disastrous season so far, no contest on that.

  • Audience gets to cast 2 votes each, results are hidden until reveal to prevent strategic voting. Fish with lowest amount of votes is eliminated.
  • Fish can win 'tokens' in challenges. A token is worth 100 votes divided by amount of fish left (10 fish = token worth 10 points).
This will prevent audience dog piling on 'annoying' (i.e. content) people. You'd vote for your favorite fish and maybe someone you think is good for content, or someone you find underrated. The fish will still be able to influence the result to some degree, and knowing their fate lies with the audience, should drive them to fuck with other fish more.

Details:
Reduced to 1 vote per person once ~4 fish remain.
Token value is just an estimate (but I think dividing it by fish is good).
Tokens are permanent even if their extra points saves a fish from elimination (otherwise fish in good audience standing will benefit more from tokens).
Should complete immunity still be an occasional reward? Maybe, it'll definitely fire the fish up at least.
Change final 1v1 to something more exciting? Maybe if it's well thought out (it hasn't been so far).
In general add more mini challenges even if they're silly. Throw around tokens and a fishbuck or two to build up that FOMO so they don't walk early.

I don't watch reality tv besides FT, this is my OC donut steal idea but there might be similar systems out there.

The idea that bringing on Alex's wife made him leave is wrong. He was always going to get hassled out by Frank whether his wife came in or not. There is not a single universe out there where Alex stayed to the end.
Personally I felt that Alex had run his course as entertainment. Production has a very high retard-yapping-tolerance that I can not match. Similarly I do not see the appeal of keeping Fatty around when he torpedoes a lot of discussion and is overbearing without someone around to manage him.
Adding the wife had a large effect, but it is true that it is also an old production mistake of keeping the heat on someone too long and piling a lot on him with Frank. I just feel its alright to take them at their word, that the wife incident was potent, who knows what is said in the basement, out of our awareness.
I think there is something to be aware of in how a person from the outside, part of your normal life, can pierce the veil and make the small Fishtank world start to crumble. Bringing your other life back up from the bottom your mind.

Not terrible, but you still need fish to be able to vote for each other to create conflict and drama. Which is why I think fish should vote for nominations, then whoever is nominated it goes to an audience vote.
Personally I felt that Alex had run his course as entertainment.
I agree there probably wasn't much left to wring out of him. But you never know.

For example, the PSAT test challenge could have easily been rigged against Sylvia because we never actually got to see the results, Sam just came up and said Sylvia lost. Sylvia was also most certainly the right choice to go home though regardless of what the real results were which is why I strongly suspect they were rigged.

That reads like quite a big cope.

It was no surprise whatsoever that Sylvia would be the most dumbass fish out of her, Vance, Josie and Letty.
