Now that I think about, I think the only scenario where Nick doesn't ends up looking like a total coward would have been if the old lady had actually threaten him with harm before showing up or she tried to literally break into his house, but she did neither of those things. She barely got within his front door before she got maced and pushed down.

If it does get to a trial though, nick's lawyers will get to grill her on what she was doing at that house and depending on the jury, it may be hard for them to have sympathy for a woman who showed up to someone's house with the sole purpose to fight/argue. There's not really a clear winner in this situation, they're both retards.
