They must know how unbelievably uncomfortable and scared a woman must be being in the bathroom alone with them looking this way. Just viewing those images a million alarm bells are going off in my head. Maybe some of them are so socially inept they can’t see that but others can.

I honestly think they are too lazy to learn how to apply make-up, do a shitty job and say "eh, good enough". That or actual facial blindness.

For a group of people so obsessed with how others percieve them and "passing", you'd think making them uncomfortable would be the exact opposite reaction they are looking for.

I genuinely think that they transition, THINK they can do makeup, realize how hard it actually is and how long it takes to learn and they give up or never bother spending the time learning how to.

As a woman who is shit at makeup and has poor hand-eye coordination, you can do a basic makeup look without looking like a clown pretty easily. I’m really bad at eyeliner so don’t use it, it looks fine.

Needing a recommendation for a video or creator who can explain why trans ideology is harmful to a boomer relative. He’s a kindhearted person who usually goes along with whatever public opinion is, and we live in a liberal hellhole. He’s got several trans coworkers and is generally “live and let live” even though he does think it’s odd that his TIF coworker got the titty chop THEN had a baby, even if he can’t elucidate WHY he finds it weird.

Thing is, I’ve been able to get him mostly deprogrammed on my own just by pointing out the absurdity of trans shit when I see it, but he keeps getting pulled back in by people like his coworkers who prey on his sympathetic nature. Lately he’s been saying things like I’m a mean person for calling them “men in dresses” and “why shouldn’t trans kids be able to play sports too?” I have the answers, I just don’t think I can communicate them clearly anymore because he’s starting to write me off as just biased and angry.

So, are there any videos you’d recommend for that kind of person? Can’t be anyone too bombastic or right wing, and they definitely can’t say things like tranny etc. Perhaps a mostly-sane detransitioner? I feel like if he saw something like a formerly-trans person decry the lifestyle would go a long way. Just trying to get one single person to think more reasonably about this topic is a job and a half.

Honestly, have him start with page one of this thread. Enough of the toe-dipping. Plunge um into the water.

They kind of are, though. Or at least, that’s the aim. Their female identity is a character they like the idea of being, which is an escape from a true self that they dislike. They mistake this for “becoming their true selves.”

That's exactly what he's doing. A huge part of AGP is inflicting it on women (and men to a lesser extent but men don't get the fear response mostly. This guy for instance is gonna be a lot less threatening when you're a 6'3" and 225 man vs a 5'6" 140 pound woman, although tbh I'd still be creeped the fuck out running into this dude) and making people grossed out and unconformable.

Probably the case, but I propose a parallel theory: AGPs, being super unironic misogynists, don't care about what women are, but are instead interested in donning the trappings of what they perceive them as, right? So if woman = makeup, merely adopting the symbol of womanhood works its transfiguration and lets them "become" women.

Doesn't need to look good, doesn't even need to make any stylish or aesthetic sense, it just needs to be there as a talisman.
