2024 Syrian opposition offensives - The first Syrian rebel offensive against Government forces since March 2020

We have yet to see Syrians holding on the sides of some Antonov and later falling down to their deaths. Nor they have left some suicide bomber get too close to a checkpoint and kill some of their guys while overseeing the withdrawal, instead, they are simply vanishing.
ISIS should take this chance to play a really funny prank.

Is the US politics general thread filled with poltards or tankies? Seems like a lot of them feel like the US should do a pro-Assad intervention LMAO what the fuck is going on.

That thread is an echo chamber hugbox for the mentally deranged. It's not a place for discussion of anything.

comical coming from two copers from the ukraine cope thread. I notice you clowns aren't spamming much hohol propaganda anymore.....

In the Russo-Japanese war I thought they had some leeway with being able to resupply at foreign ports until the 2nd Pacific Squadron (leaving from the Baltic) opened fire (poorly) on a British fishing boat out of sheer Perfidious Albion paranoia. They had only just made it to at or near the British Channel with the whole rest of the journey to go from there.
Nope. The laws of neutrality prohibited uninvolved nations from supplying them in port, requiring the Russians to contract with a German merchant company to perform underway replenishment.

And in a sign of some rather dramatic foreshadowing of later Japanese behavior, during the battle most Japanese code books for international signaling lacked the XGE code for a surrender, so when the Russians raised one the Japanese had to scramble to find a book that had it listed.

What is there to post about? It's the same it has been for 2 years straight. Russia is still advancing at a snails pace (actually, snails advance faster than them), and have not been able to reclaim Kursk despite Nort Korean reinforcements. Highly unlikely that things are going to drastically change between now and when Trump comes into power, and will try to force the two sides to negotiate. A big failure by Russia, who probably hoped that they would be able to seize as much land as possible before then (including driving Ukrainians out of Kursk).

I'm not going to waste my time arguring with you since you clearly want to ignore the facts of the war, like the fact that Russia took more territory in the last month than in the last 18 months or that the supply lines in kursk are so bad that the hohols are starting to loot homes and stores to feed themselves. These things are all verifiable and factual, you just don't see it on sites like Newsweek which is a known nato propaganda site.

Trump will cut of Z-man very soon, you're stupid if you think the money will keep flowing.

But keep coping, Ukraine isn't retreating, they are just "consolidating their defenses".

I doubt Trump will allow United States to be humiliated on that front, and none of what he has said so far indicates that he would. In fact, everything communicated by the anons in the Ukrainian government indicate otherwise.

By the way, US is not really sending money. It's sending weapons, and US government is then spending money to replenish the stocks. At the same time, Europe is also buying weapons from US. Creating American jobs, creating money for Americans. But I know it doesn't matter for you because you are too busy enjoying dwindling piles of cabbage in the suburbs of Moscow.

But keep coping zigger, when your international influence dwindles and the ruble continues to collapse.

Damascus will fall tomorrow morning. I want 20 dollars if I'm right.
It's already Sunday in Damascus.

Abassiyeen Square in Central Damascus, soldiers/military abandoning positions, changing into civilian clothes.

The only question at this point is who Damascus will fall too and what the state of the city will be in the morning. From the looks of things its the FSA and the Southern rebels who are about the take control of the city. These are far more ad hoc formations then the HTS forces who took Hama and Aleppo. I expect the situation for Minorities and Assadists in Damascus will be grim. The people of Darra and Suwaydah are going to exact a horrific reckoning.

The Druze look like they have switched sides completely with the rebels and HTS of all groups is appealing to its Christian population. The Shia (including Alawites) on the other hand...

Yeah, the Druze formed an entire regiment fighting with the Southern Operations Room and were the ones responsible for taking Suwayda Governorate (which has a Druze majority) from the SAA yesterday. The Southern Front in general was the most tolerant rebel group that wasn't Kurdish and used to have a small Christian component in their ranks (the Jesus Christ Brigade, a subunit of the Sword of al-Sham Brigades). Not sure if they're still around, but these guys were still well-received in a majority Christian & Druze suburb of Damascus earlier in the day (Jaramana) at least. If there's any large rebel army in Syria that can be reasonably expected to not chimp out in victory & launch a pogrom against religious minorities, it's these FSA descendants.

The Alawites on the coast, well. If Russia doesn't stick around, their fate will be in Al-Jolani's hands. It will be an even bigger test of whether there's any truth to his recent more enlightened rhetoric than his handling of Christian & Shiite towns on the road to Hama/Homs.
