I was thinking about where Richard stands in the grand scheme of things.
So, he's already pre-ordered Indiana Jones and The Great Circle. Honestly, I shouldn't be surprised. Based on his sperg out over Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and his fondness for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, I imagine he'd buy any big, modern game with the Indiana Jones license.
When it comes to Gordoverse, now Comicsgate is getting involved, more specifically Anti-Comicsgate with Da Talks and Konosuke beefing which @Fleetwood briefly touched on saying that Da Talks talked about the spirit fight and said that Spirit won that fight. This resulted in Konosuke sperging out and going at Da Talks in both the comments section and in The Wacky server at 5:30 in the morning. What a raging homo.

This plus the superchats they get during livestreams can amount to more than decent money if they can keep it up for two or three weekly videos while the going gets good. Ask EVS who could (can?) afford to neglect his comic books as long as his views and chats piled up. The difference of course being that the FNT crowd AFAIK hasn't kept a carrot dangling above their followers for years promising some nebulous product in exchange for their money and patience.
But Zack has a point; if they want to maximize their profits, the Party Clowns must go after cringe-worthier subjects like NoWhite and the Seven Dwarves every now and then, because unlike Meyer, they can adapt and be flexible. On the other hand they've never said they were above the culture war that Zack always claims he's too ethereal to debase himself with. This is disingenuous though because Zack did often comment about faggotry such as Ms. Marvel and Squirrel Girl comics which, granted, weren't specifically aimed at little girls and maladjusted homos, but neither is Disney's Snow White.
Come on though, the viewers eat up this sort of crap and the FNT people are good at presenting it in a passably entertaining manner.
Another difference is of course be that Meyer made his name by critiquing comic books which are so niche that even when he was one of the most popular comic book commenters he very rarely made it past 20K views per video. Perhaps he could afford to think he was being principled because he never had a chance to make serious money off his vids given their topic and format but also because the spectacular profits from his first Jawbreakers made him think that video income was expendable.
Having slowly but surely wrecked his reputation over the past 4-5 years, it's possible that he's been trying to pivot to something much more mainstream like video freaking games
Zack is too lazy and too retarded to commit to gaming. Movies are easy you just have to pay attention, video games take effort to overcome and are a challenge (a mild challenge but still).
As Zack likes to remind us, he is a middle aged man. There is a niche of older gentlemen who make videogame videos for money ( Civvie11 comes to mind ) but they tend to have a wide breadth of experience with games from the past to the current day. This is what makes them interesting to listen to. (Also, Civvie has more charisma than Zack, obviously, and puts actual effort into his videos).

Gary and Drinker and Az who are bigger fans of Star Trek have been vocal about how unimpressed and uninterested they are in Strange New Worlds after watching a bit of it.
What I remember from some random videos I watched was that it was a very dumb TV show. Perfect for Zack, but somewhat less so for fans of Star Trek the Original Series.
