I feel like the Brandon situation is the key demonstration for why fish voting each other out is a terrible idea. Reminder that, if not for Binx turning everyone back onto Simbal, the result of the Brandon situation would've been everyone voting on the only person who confronted him. It really shouldn't be shocking to assume that at least some of the people there (who still thought this is a standard reality show format to at least some extent) may have thought "these are normies and nobody else is taking Luke's side, if I join up with him, I will be next on the chopping block."

Were there people there genuinely supporting him? Yeah, for sure, with Payton probably being the most egregious example. Still, you really can't deny that the voting put pressure on people not to stick out like Luke did. This, along with making people too wary of fucking with each other, makes it feel relieving that Sam seems against fish voting at this point as well.

So i was thinking about something Sam said to binx in confessional. "This cast is aids" or something of that sort. Every fishtank the first day or two usually has a cast that is infact aids because you can't get to know people in like a day or two. I mean if the idea was to import a cast then kick the cast then man they need to lay off that galaxy gas.

For all the internet dad shit Sam does you would think he would actually not behave so short sighted and plan.

Sam isn't the machiavellian figure he thinks he is.

the problem IMO, was that they sent luke in to handle it instead of sam doing it himself. i love luke, don't get me wrong, but literally every single thing production had him do failed spectacularly, throughout the entire season.

even though he's fit and chadly, I'm sorry but Luke is not intimidating whatsoever, (except in maybe a serial rapist kind of way with those glasses frames). his demeanor is on par with a golden retriever and the cadence of his voice just really isn't going to come off as authoritative to anyone except maybe the clinically retarded, like Burt. so when he goes from 0-60 with production bits, he just comes off as a psycho/sociopath to the fish (remember how long they cried about him smashing pumpkins and debated what kind of mental illness he had?) and when he's running on half-baked excuses "oh computer told us", and the fish immediately say "well then how did you see the picture?" it all just falls apart as retardedly as possible.

sam on the other hand, roided out HGH meat mountain that he is, is scary as fuck when he's mad. when he's dropped character and losing his shit, i get the willies, and i'm hundreds of miles away behind a computer screen. his roidrage after the letty's passport incident was terrifying. i legit thought he was going to beat the fuck out of jon for a minute. he should have handled the brandon situation himself rather than carrying out some kind of retarded purity test that made everyone hate the 75% of the fish for the rest of the season.

let's be real, was the 19 year old lesbian ever not going to go to bat for child drag queens? or the other clout chasing chucklefucks that would rather shove the whole fence up their asses than ever take a real stand on anything? absolutely not, because generating a broad audience and not getting cancelled in the pursuit of fame and fortune supersedes any kind of moral conviction in the heart of any desperate 30 something that's willing to sign away 6 weeks of their life to go on a show called fucking famous house. i'll give payton the zoomer pass, but binx and simbal were being useless milquetoast fencesitters, and burt just wanted to fuck brandon in the butt and his level of degeneracy in general far exceeds supporting child drag.

tl;dr: i just want to watch retards get bullied, and i am absolutely egalitarian in that respect. sam is a terrible person, jet is a terrible person, the fish are terrible people, we're terrible people. it doesn't matter. laugh at retards. moralfagging over fishtank is gay.

But yeah, you are right. Sam fumbled and I wish he didn't. I would have loved to see the pedo suffer some hassling, or worse. Maybe nex time...
A Simmons style kick off where Sam built up to it and learned enough about Brandon’s background to mock him subtly would have been infinitely more funny.

Yeah it's very hard to stand up to a group of 10 strangers. Socially, it's suicide. Everybody here can act like they would have, but it's tough and almost never works out. Even in just a "game show" setting to be ostracized from the group is a bad feeling. Luke lost his steam very quickly and you could tell he was visibly dejected. Kind of cowardly for Sam to not come to his aid after gassing him up. Then get mad that nobody else did either.

and burt just wanted to fuck brandon in the butt and his level of degeneracy in general far exceeds supporting child drag.
I would just like to reiterate that burt said doing stuff with kids is bad.
Even though Burt is a gay freak who sings about fucking staceys daughter, he still seemingly didn't like the brandon stuff.

Read my post, this is false.
BUT we now know in retrospect that none of that is actually true, making this entire discussion pointless.

Apart from Brandon himself, production did NOT kick all the Famous House 2.0 people because of the Brandon stuff. They kicked them because of the ambiguous house-related issue which forced them to end Act 3 early and begin the RV arc.
Apart from Brandon, they kicked the other newfish because they had to end the house-portion of the show in a hurry due to an as-of-yet undisclosed issue. Earlier in the thread there was some speculation that there was a really bad mold problem in the house that got discovered at some point before Famous House 2.0 started, others speculate that it is due to zoning issues with filming a show/running a production like that in a residential area.

Wasn’t Burt the only fish to explicitly say the child drag stuff was gross when Payton and Binx doubled down?

Either way they "got it fixed". They definitely have the money to abate black mold, but how would they fix a zoning issue like that?

he also said he'd rape people if he could get away with it and it wouldn't hurt his social standing (vis a vis his ability to find partners for more buttsex). but he's a barely functional retard that's probably going to end up with a fairly active thread, so who cares. at the end of the day though i don't really give a shit either way. i come here to read about and laugh at fucked up people. if i weren't, i'd be in some facebook mom big brother group chat. like for real, if nick bate got paroled and they put him through hell house, you wouldn't watch it? i'd take a sabbatical with popcorn pretzels and pepsi to watch that shit all day.

They "got it fixed" while on the road, over a week after the leaving. As far as what the issue really was, your guess is as good as mine is. It really could be anything: mold, electrical failures (remember the lights in B3 going off and not coming back on?), local regulations, legal troubles, etc.

Again, it doesn't really matter because it doesn't change anything now and we'll never know unless production decides to spill the beans later.

Part of why I think it was a mold issue. I also remember Sam saying things were good to go for future seasons.

Before they left the house they had the construction crew guys shining flashlights into vents for central air and talking about it - this leads me to believe that it was a mold problem. Because that's how you'd check for it.

To kill mold you have to clean the duct work, this can either be done by doing it manually or using a fogger.
It's a problem, but a fixable problem and something that the wiggers would be able to accomplish.
And it also makes sense with him saying it's good now and that they had to get everyone out - because they had to use foggers.
They were on the road/in Vegas for like a week or w/e and that's enough time to do that.

On the other hand - zoning issues are probably a much bigger issue because it involves local politics and shit.
This is a problem that would take much longer to solve because politics shit always takes forever.

I also don't think they would care as much about filming when they don't have correct zoning or w/e
But having people in a house with a mold problem is a safety issue, so it makes sense they got them out.

So was the initial reason of, "Guys, show sucks, we're sick, vibes are off, no ideas" a lie?

Now the reason is mold?

The original reason was vibes.
The official reason is "zoning issue."

If the actual reason was mold, they may not want to admit that because it could potentially be lawsuit material for anyone who got sick. So initially they just said vibes were bad, but then when the RV trip sucked and people started complaining that they should have stayed in the house, they tried to save face by saying they had to leave but still couldn't say the actual reason.

Alternatively, the real reason was vibes, but they made up "zoning issue" to save face. It had to be vague because they didn't want to get caught in the lie.

Something fucky was going on with the house when they stayed there and it wasn't just production fucking with the fish.

There were a few missteps in handling the Brandon thing that snowballed into each other.

1. Sam initially only showed Da Boyz (Luke, Tony, Kawan) evidence of Brandon's grooming. He assumed, as a masculinist, that they would have a backbone and take a strong stance against Brandon.
2. They split the party, Luke confronting Brandon alone while Tony and Kawan looped in everyone else. Luke caught Brandon off guard and won the confrontation, but nobody in the house saw it. This allowed Brandon to be better prepared when the rest of the fish got involved.
3. Tony and Kawan flubbed telling the other fish. They were met with resistance and Tony the skirt-chaser immediately flipped and Kawan lacked the conviction to stand alone. They might have stood a chance getting the other fish on their side, but
4. Breezy the alpha-bitch was on Brandon's side from the start and none of them knew it. She excelled at the social game and was determined to protect her friend. She already knew the arguments they would pull and knew how to respond to them.
5. Production allowed Brandon to defend himself. He has spent ten years learning the best ways to manipulate and play to other's sympathies. Just look at how expertly he downplayed what he did and cried over how badly he was treated by awful bigots. Remember, groomers don't just groom kids, they groom the communites surrounding kids. They're manipulators and he's had a lot of practice.
6. They only looped in three of the old fish, one at a time. That gave them the impression that if they spoke up they wouldn't have any support, and would have a target on their back for elimination voting.
7. Sam waited too long to kick him. Jet probably wanted to keep him longer for a slow burn, and Sam held back for that reason, but disgust won out. Brandon stayed just long enough to turn the audience against the fish, but not long enough to humiliate himself. His elimination was unsatisfying.

Perfect shitstorm. Production had been doing very well up until that day, with only a few mistakes (looking at you, Hassle).
