On one hand I hope they catch him so we can learn some more.

OTOH, part of me likes that it just becomes a Jack the Ripper style mystery that will get milked for YouTube videos and weird theories.

It's very unlikely that this guy will get away with it. NYC is heavily surveilled. It can take a while to sift through all that footage, and it's very likely the NYPD haven't shared everything they know right now. The shooter isn't a pro. If he didn't want to get caught, he wouldn't have made many of the errors he made. He knows his days are numbered. That said, he's probably surprised they haven't closed in on him yet.

I know NYPD has a rep for being incompetent (rightly so), but the FBI will absolutely find him, even if it takes several more days, or even weeks.

It's almost like he took all the lessons from the BTK killer, unibomber, and boston bombers getting caught, and avoided it at all costs.

1) no self snitching- I'm talking to you BTK... Also, don't give the FBI a flash drive with your name "deleted" from it.. Actually, just dont speak to the feds. Thats the best route forward for any given scenario.

The only thing that I would enjoy from him being caught would be the pure look of horror from insurance company's, as legions of fans/protesters would be lining up every day at the courthouse, demanding his freedom/calling for TOTAL CEO DEATH.
