I still want to know about Shmorky's other ex-girlfriends too, and their stories. It really should have been a warning sign that Shmorky almost never talked about his personal life and/or his relationships ever. There are people who like to keep their personal life out of the spotlight but there is a difference between that and not hearing anything at all besides the post-break up feelings towards the relationships. It's very strange.

And if shmorky didn't acknowledge he's done something really fucked up, he wouldn't have made an attempt at pseudo-suicide or faked one.
His reaction sort of leads me to believe he has done this to minors as well, or he has committed other illegal activities related to things of this sort. This is just speculations but I believe strongly in something like that based on his behavior.

Anyone with half a brain knows that it's a career-ruining accusation, guilty or not. Shmorky has pulled this shit before over lesser things.

Is Shmorky trying to hide something more significant? Very possibly. We still need to be careful about trying to make the facts fit the narrative though instead of just letting them lead wherever they lead. Not because I give a shit about Shmorky's reputation, but because getting this wrong is something that would be used for many years to come as an example of why KF is not a reliable source, how we make shit up, and how we conduct "witch hunts". It's in our own self-interest to get this right.

Shit tons of people do it. I can't remember how many times as a teenager I signed up under the birthday 01/01/whatever year made me old enough to use the site. It IS a little weird for Facebook, though. But for a forum site its not really that unusual.

I wouldnt- indeed if you compare my own dob here and on the club they dont match. I would completely believe one would have a differant dob here than elsewhere. It is worth pointing out we get multiple users everymonth asking for changes because they use the same name everywhere.

I use the same fake birthdate across several sites. It's easier than remembering which fake birthdate you used on which site. It's also often the one piece of profile info you can't change, so if you gave a fake year of birth to get access to a site your age will always be wrong on that site.

I used to use a fake birthday across various sites in my teens - the first day of my birth month and 1980 as my birth year so that I wouldn't be restricted for being too young.

I don't know whether these people have been lying, however. There is such a massive amount of content in those chatlogs that I find it hard to believe that they're fake.

The fact that Shmorky immediately went into hiding (along with moo-hooing for sympathy) when this stuff broke tends to make me think that @carefully is being largely accurate ... or there's even worse stuff yet to drop.
