Why's Frit so invested in the success of this game? Is it just because Synth played it (and hated it), so now he's manned the castle walls in defense?

It's your bog standard movie game of the past 5+ years, with game play mechanics as deep as a puddle and a deluge of cut scenes every 5 feet. There's nothing unique or redeemable about it to warrant an legitimate defense. It's just boring and forgettable.

Yeah him and his brother are doing 1 year a week reviews/tierlists starting from like 1985 and he is ridiculously bad at actually playing them. I actually think the podcast is pretty entertaining (better than watching fucking breakers) but Synth has a knack for half-assing everything he does. It's not the production quality, it's not the takes, it's living the chud life vicariously.

This is good insight of his cow brained consoomer mindset, where you just know, he spent $70 or way more on shit that he'll never touch. Most people here haven't heard of him either, so how good could his revenue be?

i have the same issue too. the two of them play nes games as if they're modern games with how they play it once and base their judgement on that all while savestating through the game. i do enjoy the chudcast regardless.

I wouldn't blame them for savestating. I'm sure you know this, but remember a good majority of the NES's library (like ninja gaiden) are unforgiving arcade nigger rape tier games that were usually made to be as time consuming as possible, so you didn't feel jipped out of $40 for a 1 hour experience. Autistically learning multiple and completing them is extremely time consuming, and autistic.

The devs back then still has the Arcade game mindsets. Those games are crank up to bullshit difficulty, b/c arcade's design is to squeeze out all your quarters.

They did said in episode 1 that they won't judge it base on the lens of the past; they don't care about impact nor innovations at the time; they would judge it from their modern zoomer/millennial perspective.

Yeah, agreed. Synthetic has a platform though, and I have a kiwi shaped pillow to scream into.

Also there is community effect there, want to find people to play with? go find the loudest chud you can. You can't just join random discords these days, it's furries from wall to wall.
