The 'incest' ment that they inherited a fatal flea allergy from one or both of the parents which were from the same litter. It still sounds like bullshit, how could such a fatal allergy have allowed the cats to grow to the age they could breed, but the kittens died within weeks of birth?

Might be that weird thing how certain shit which is nominally rare can easily present itself within an small gene pool. It's something like the "founder effect"

I think the worst part about this is that the odds of Emily lying versus being truthful are 50/50 for once.
We know she is a compulsive liar and the possibility exists that she will say anything to try and get us to stop talking about a subject she dislikes. Cannot rule out that her flea allergy story was fabricated, hoping to placate us since some in the thread demanded answers. Also, why the fuck would you blatantly admit to animal abuse. Or is this a case where she will argue the semantics between neglect and abuse?

But on the other hand, if she is being honest for once, this would make sense considering she is unable to take care of herself and choses to live in filth.

Oh sure, I am not questioning the possibility of an inherited allergy, I am saying it's most likely bullshit in this case because if the allergy was so fatal, how could the parents live long enough to breed and pass the allergy down, yet the allergy killed the kittens within weeks?

Basically, Em is full of shit as usual and latched on to something she had the vaguest understanding of (the inbred kittens inherited a weakness to fleas) to claim they died of 'incest' instead of her horrible neglect.

Technically, it sounds like the parents were both carriers of the "fatal flea allergy" gene and inbreeding was more than enough to have it active in at least some of the litter. But I honestly think that it was something along the lines of one of them catching something and it quickly spread to the rest of them without the Numpty noticing because she's too busy scribbling at her desk
