It's an unpopular opinion but I don't like the youtuber recap videos as anything other than a quick recap of a day you missed live, because I find most of them obnoxious and they are very biased with clear favorites. if you missed the whole season I would recommend watching the episodes before anything. The season 1 episodes do suck, but a big reason why they suck is because their s1 archives are completely fucked up and a lot of footage is completely missing. The Frank Hassle episode is the one that suffers the most imo because a huge portion of the episode is catered around Jet's unfunny poop detective bit and they sacrificed a lot of funny moments (many of which get referenced later on the episodes) to make room for it, and this particular episode had nothing to do with the archives being shit.

With all that being said, the second half of the first season episodes are actually a lot better with exception to the final episode which should have been longer and included more of Vinny, as well as some of Letty and Josie's dialogue. The main thing missing from the edited series is the extent of the hell Letty was living in. The constant barrage of deeply personal TTS insults all day, the constant shark attacks, the constant talking behind Letty's back everyone did, the clear production bias against Letty. A lot of this is missing, specifically in the episode where Brandon Buckingham shows up, Frank and Brandon were making Letty's life hell that night and NONE of it is shown in the episode. They try to make it seem like a completely wholesome moment in the show but Letty was actually really struggling in that moment and it was snuffed from the episode for no reason other than the wiggers might not have wanted to show Letty suffering in every episode, but I think that's an important aspect to s1.

Anyway, TLDR, just watch the episodes and you can fill in the gaps later.

I forgot they totally botched season 1's archive. God that was bullshit. I'm pretty sure someone from /tv/ had a partial archive but it only started halfway through the season and only certain rooms so it was far from complete.

Whatever you saw was not my experience and we watched the exact same thing. Buckingham was one of the many completely forgettable eceleb cameos that season, like EmpLemon and Turkey Tom.

Buckingham repeatedly went into Letty's room destroying everything and stomping out her bag, destroying everything in it too. This was all in between Frank constantly throwing toilet water all over her and her destroyed belongings. When Brandon wasn't doing this he was standing around acting cringe.

LMAO I STILL have no idea why Duan'ye was posting for hours and hours beefing at La'Ron but I'm glad he did because this is funny as hell.

Ron disappointed me in the tank, I was waiting for him to go off like this and he never did, probably because he was gaslit to believe it would be cut into a more traditional reality show so he wanted to control himself to come out looking good in the edit like on a real reality show. Ron loves reality TV and that was a hindrance to him in the tank, but outside he's low-key insightful about social dynamics and he has a knack for comedy, like he totally "gets" Frank Hassle which you would never expect. I really hope he keeps making fishtank content and engaging with the scene.

That was probably the low point of season one. They would have some nontent z-list e-celeb come in every other day and they would either do nothing like Turkey Tom or contribute to the massive amount of Letty hate at the time. It was kind of funny seeing how awkward and retarded they were without the comfort of a script and the ability to edit though.

I remember the Letty targeting getting so bad Sam had to come in and actively tell the freeloaders to shift their attention away from her and spread it evenly. He was staring daggers at Frank because the last thing he wanted was Letty to walk. Never forget day 33.

Still better than the low points of season two and three though.
