That weird LMFAO partybro aesthetic with the muscle shirts that had frat boy phrases on them or said shit like SWAG, YOLO. The YouTubers with the terrible humor from around this time that others have mentioned here. Tacos, mustaches, union jacks and those rubber bracelets. Bacon. on. everything. We were putting bacon in our milkshakes, our dad joke t-shirts, our drywall.

• popup ads (early adblockers sucked ass at actually stopping them and also had a lot of false positives)
• installing a game off 4 cds only to find out cd 4 is fucking busted and you will never find just that one cd separately for download (or its going to be off some niggerlicious 25 kb/s rate limited shady rapidshare knockoff) so you give up on playing your game that you paid for in frustration
• elementary school, everyone was utterly obsessed with nigger culture and behaving like a nigger. junior & high was cool tho
• being poor
• living with parents
• french cars between 2000-2020 were the worst fucking shitboxes on the road, you cant even imagine how embarrassingly terrible, unreliable and stupidly designed they were. way too fucking many of them

Not a fan of the Aqua Net look? I actually liked the big hair of the 80s. Guess it's a nostalgia thing for me.

What don't I miss? Physical concert tickets. It's so nice to be able to just pull it up on my phone. No more waiting for tickets to come in the mail, then trying not to lose them before the show. Miss being able to smoke indoors at concerts.

Limewire. I don't want to think about how much of my life was wasted on fixing the family computer because my family couldn't stop downloading shit like "Linkin Park - Breaking the Habit.ObviousTrojan.exe" from Limewire.

I used kaaza/limewire a little bit on friends' computers to make CDs but I was one of the original Torrent Chads once I got my own "modern computer" (Pentium 4/Win XP )

Limewire was generally nigger tier rips and ridiculous trojans like you mentioned above.

Man, I remember queuing up early Adult Swim shows (around 100 MB each) and those tiny RealMedia copies of South Park before I went to bed and having them trickle in through dial-up while I was sleeping...
