I think it's because he's terrified of having to give live commentary. I recall him not streaming it in the past, but instead watching it live and taking notes, then doing a stream after the fact where he shared his notes. I always assumed it was because he was afraid of being caught off guard by something/saying something wrong. By waiting, he can scan Twitter headlines to see which games he's supposed to pretend to be hyped about, and which ones he's supposed to shit on.

The whole Kino Casino arc had me thinking we were all wrong, that greed does come before his ego. He's been taking flak from KC for ages but he still tries to hang out with them to leech off of their audience, going so far as to even give them money.
While I won't deny he's trying to leech off of their audience, I think when he simps for KC, he's basically doing what his paypigs do, try and pay for friendship. To give Phil an insulting bit of credit, he was actually doing it well before he had paypigs. Going all the way back to his original condo purchase in CT, he basically said he bought it to try and impress a girl. When he wants to be closer with someone, his only solution is to throw money at them until they're trapped.
I can't wait for the day he returns to twitch after the mad amounts of shit he's been talking about how trash it is.
He definitely knew he was being made fun of, and if he didn't, 100 people told him. But he legit thought he was going to be part of the gang, just some friendly razzing, and he'd keep getting KC dent tips forever. When it became totally clear he was part of their Wack Pack and that had no interest in him except as a joke, Phil then....did nothing. Because for as many insults as Phil dishes out, he only does it when you can't say anything back. Phil wouldn't even defend himself or his wife when they called her fat (which is part of the reason KC dropped him in the first place, no entertainment).
