Burt also said that he would have to do intense analysis to "decide who got what", it was a lot of bullshit. They also asked if he intended to give charity to the tunnel people, and it got more convoluted. They saw Burt for what he was, and Burt got pissy about it. Filthy casuals don't understand the nature of the game and that's on them. It doesn't set a bad precedent because Burt didn't want the money, he even said as much. Burt only wanted the fame. Burt also received a lot of money anyway, he won't disclose how much. Burt doesn't even care that he didn't win the pot. He only wanted fame, and he got it.

I think the wiggers should scour the farms and try to recruit some cows directly. They should focus on the ones where there's a big debate about whether the person is a cow or just a dork, and settle the question on Fishtank.

Unfortunately, a lot of the best cows have precarious health. Can you imagine Lucas Werner on Fishtank? But alas, Lucas is too busy dying to be on the show, and it takes the fun right out of tormenting him. There's gotta be a few in Lolcow General or the Beauty Parlor that would suit, maybe there's a not-too-perverted furry in Animal Control (doubt). They could check Twitch for completely spastic gamers too.

Whether they did Famous House again or let them in on it being Fishtank would be up to them. Famous House would probably work again if they picked more obscure cows that aren't connected to the Sektur or Dabbleverse or whatever. They could rename it "Streamer House" or "Gamer House" or "Virtual Life". The possibilities are endless based on who they manage to recruit.

You're probably right, it is regular fishtank viewers who don't get why not giving Burt the money seems wrong, because the core fishtank viewer is mostly losers and NEETs who don't understand how labor and pay works.

If you're a boss, and you have a guy working for you, and halfway through the day you learn he is a child molester or something, what you do is immediately go to them and tell them "get the fuck out of here". Realistically even then you should pay them for the work they did, but what you DON'T do is continue letting them work on your team then not pay them at the end of the day.

So Sam Hyde is so self respecting he would never pay a sexual degenerate, but he'll keep him on his show, giving him notoriety and making money of it, but then at the end decide ripping him off for prize money is enough to make up for it?

They are working under contract, and he earned fishbucks and a day rate which was determined by the contract he signed. He also made some other money, no one knows what that money is. Burt could pursue this if he wanted to, he may, no one knows. That's up to him and a contract lawyer.

But this is not the same as a wagie not getting paid their two weeks and getting fucked over. Legal remedies are available to Burt, just as there would be to someone under employment law. But this is not "stolen tips and wages", as he was not an employee. He was a contestant on an internet reality show to become famous, and constantly expressed that he didn't even want the money. Burt is a man of means; he can handle this if he wants to. He doesn't.

I do agree with you about the Sam Hyde shit; I don't know why people think that he's some morally, righteous guy. He's a trickster, a funny guy, that's it. There was a point when Sam and Jet were alone and it wasn't on Director, but it was in the Confessional, and they were talking about how they were having Frank steal the fishbucks so they wouldn't have to pay people on their way out as much. They're cheap fucks. They do whatever they can not to pay people. That's all it is.

It's been brought up a million times before: black mold (which was why some of the crew posted pics in N95 masks) and some kind of zoning issue.
