UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson fatally shot outside Hilton hotel in Midtown in targeted attack: cops - Just Part and Parcel of visiting a Big City

If someone already posted this, apologies, but this is the story with the missing person notice,
Sounds like bullshit tbh.

The “Missing” picture looks absolutely nothing like the pictures from NY.

If I was paranoid, I’d think they’re either trying to take the public focus of the fact that the snitch who ratted him out, won’t have a day without being called out for the rest of her life….Or they tracked him with some kind of electronic means that they really don’t want to reveal.

Also: Note how the public narrative is trying to paint him as mentally ill. “He never had back problems! Was never a customer!”

They really don’t like that this guy is a folk hero.

Speculation, but I dont think it was a psychotic break. It was a psychedelic induced spiritual breakthrough. The backpain was what initially lead him to use psychedelics, but he was never irrational
What if Luigi is actually the sane one? Who just refused to live on his knees?

And everyone else, who let’s an inhuman system and our elites fuck us over on a daily basis, are the ones who are actually crazy?

I think the missing picture is legit. There were tweeters made to him from friends concerned that he was missing and his family was aware he was missing. Exactly what circumstances resulted in them waiting months to file a missing person's report are a very big question - best I could defend them for that is that he just told them he needed time alone or they had some signal that he was alive/ok but that is a serious question in all of this.

And about Luigi being sane or more specifically the only sane one - yeah I'm inclined to somewhat agree. I don't know if he really took Ayahuasca or whatever psychedelic shit that 5D gigafried his brain and sent him of the deep end or if his back surgery somehow did that but it's not like his reaction to the "system" is really that out of line (a "system" I might add that it appears he wasn't even personally impacted by).

Nah, I don’t doubt that the report is real. Just saying that he doesn’t look at all alike in the missing picture and the pictures from NY.

One doesn’t need to be personally impacted by a system just to find it wrong and detestable. And everyone is affected by the system, whether directly or indirectly.

As for sanity, I’d argue that Luigi saw reality a lot clearer than anyone writing “think pieces” in the Atlantic.

Despite all the cope about “vigilantism”, we clearly don’t live in a society that values human life. From Insurance companies denying claims, politicians pushing mass migration despite the human cost, sending bombs to Israel and politicians cheering for Ukraine to send 18 year olds in the grave, we clearly live in a system where human life and dignity is dispensable.

Luigi saw that, and acted accordingly. And is probably more sane than all the MSM bootlickers telling us that we shouldn’t cheer or take action, just vote for other team next election, that’ll solve everything.

another point we forget is how any immigrant or nigger can take a life and it doesn't even make the news. this murder does but what about the murders and deaths outside of manhattan and if the ceo's life is that much more valuable why not admit it

This NYT article explains some of the timeline of Luigi leading up to the shooting but there is still a several months long blank spot which no one seems to know what went on - he basically went AWOL, his family reported him missing in November and shortly thereafter he shot the CEO in NYC.

It shares some interesting stuff about a book club he was a part of.
Good article. You forgot the archive link though. I gottcha

Niggers and illegals kill other niggers and illegals every day, and nobody cares.

So why does this murder gets everyone wringing their hands? Because the journos, the judges and the CEOs can all almost feel the hands of the proles going for their throats when they see the reaction to this murder.

You can see how lighting quick the narrative changed.

They started with “BRAZEN MURDER IN DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN!” And as soon as folks started to go “GOOD!”, even far left outlets tried to control the narrative with:

“Muh hecking’ wholesome working class CEO worked his way up!” And:

“Murdered CEO wanted to FIX healthcare! Value based care!”

Now they’ve switched to Smear/SHUTITDOWN! Mode. Between “He was ACSHUALLY an insane incel!” Stories, the NYT for example instructed their journos to not post his pics and no MSM outlets dared posting the manifesto.

You can see how lighting quick the narrative changed.
I wasn't asking literally, obviously this is because this murder wasn't "all part of the plan" but that's probably what irked Luigi. Everyone whines about murder but it's acceptable as long as it's "part of the plan". Look how leftists and BAPtists went 180 on the whole "guillotine politicians" when Jan 6th happened. Or how the journos went from "the heckin Muslims" to full genocide most after Oct 7th. Same thing here, if you're a young guy like luigi who sees everyone call him a bad guy and goes "I'm the bad guy, but I did everything I was told?" Then it makes sense for you to embrace the crazy and show just how bad you can be.

Look how many journos that were fine with commie dialogue suddenly get antsy about the ceos death.

By all accounts Luigi is a hero, just from how quickly healthcare companies are reforming hoping to appease the mob ready and willing to root for another vigilante.

It sort of reminds me of how the FBI went from going full force on waco then became nice guys after Timothy showed them how vulnerable they really were. The FBI were perfectly fine molesting kids with the finders in OK until that happened.

Or to go full new Yorker , how suddenly the Jews became super anti crime once the crown heights riots happened. Suddenly stop and frisk and mandatory minimums and cleaning up time square happened once they got a taste of the chaos.

Rate me late but this mad lad has some pretty good taste in functional camera bags.
He's lacking a good tripod, those of Skelly's thread will appreciate it.

Peter here, Peak Design Founder & CEO.

You may be aware that an Everyday Backpack made by Peak Design was worn during the New York City shooting last week. Some of you have asked what our policies are around customer privacy, so I wanted to lay that out:
Peak Design has not provided customer information to the police and would only do so under the order of a subpoena.
We cannot associate a product serial number with a customer unless that customer has voluntarily registered their product on our site.
Serializing our products allows us to track product issues and in some cases quarantine stock if a defect is found.
The serial numbers on our V1 Everyday Backpacks were not unique or identifying. They were lot numbers used to track batch production units. We did not implement unique serial numbers until V2 iterations of our Everyday Backpack.
If you do choose to register a Peak Design product, and it is lost or stolen, you can reach out to our Customer Service team and have your registration erased, so the bag is not traceable back to you.
We take our customer privacy seriously.

There is misinformation being shared on social media that has triggered many serious threats for the safety of not only me, but our employees as well. I ask that you please consider the facts we are providing here and continue to instill trust in the Peak Design brand.

Ayahuasca rules and people ITT should definitely take it and then make threads about all of the spiritual breakthroughs they're having.
Who the fuck do you know named Spyro? If youre thinking of Nixon's VP that was SPIRO Agnew
Rumor has it Agnew got the VP nod because of his "special sandwiches" if you know what I mean...
(DO NOT google "Spyro subway")
You know what would be really nice to have? A vibrant Lawtube ecosystem to analyze what's going to happen legally. Having that would be great IF SOME BALLDO COKEHEAD HADN'T FUCKING IMPLODED IT.
I was gonna have Nick toast my pet turtle's alopecia diagnosis, but unfortunately UHC doesn't cover superchats.

The whole young fit dude + psychotic/schizoid break + questionable psychedelics use reminds me of the whole Connor Murphy saga (and he is still spiraling).
I do enjoy Connor Murphy but I wouldn't really compare him to Luigi. Luigi seems to have turned to psychedelics in desperation for his chronic pain. Connor... well put it this way, he's probably the only person in the world who tried to microdose ayahuasca. People talk about getting oneshotted by a six dimensional Mesoamerican demon, but Connor was sitting down for tea with that demon every single day for years. It's genuinely a miracle he's not more messed up
A few months after she got death-panelled, her mother protested at CIGNA’s headquarters & told the security desk she wouldn’t leave until reps apologized to her family. CIGNA employees looking down from the atrium heckled her & flipped her off.
I was going to make a joke along the lines of "Wow, health insurance companies are so bad that it made someone who works in PR grow a conscience" but that's truly reprehensible. The glimpses behind the curtain we're getting - like with the Financial Times article - demonstrates a lot of people at these companies aren't just sociopaths who don't care about human suffering, they seem to actively relish it and get annoyed with bereaved loved ones for being upset. They're evil.

Ms Sarkisyan's death wasn't caused by CIGNA. The doctors didn't want to do it either, payment or not, because her prognosis was so poor.

Not according to every article I’ve read on it & not according to Potter who worked for CIGNA at the time. Most the doctors gave it a 65% chance of success:

Nataline Sarkisyan had been diagnosed with leukemia just weeks before her 14th birthday in 2004. Initial treatments were successful and the cancer went into remission. It came back two years later, however, and this time was more difficult to treat. She eventually had to have a bone marrow transplant, which CIGNA covered, but there were complications that damaged her liver. Her doctors felt, however, that she had better than a 60 percent chance of surviving five years or longer if she had a transplant.

Nataline’s parents didn’t realize it but, even though their policy covered transplants, her doctors had to get what is referred to in the insurance business as “prior approval” before going forward with the surgery. This means they essentially have to convince the insurer that the procedure is medically necessary — and appropriate.

[...] The doctors said they felt they could persuade CIGNA to give the needed “clearance” if they provided additional documentation about Nataline’s health and suitability for the transplant. They were wrong. A CIGNA medical director 2,500 miles away said he did not agree with Nataline’s doctors and felt the transplant would not be appropriate, that her chances of survival, in his opinion, were not as great as her treating physicians believed.

The Sarkisyans decided to try to shame CIGNA into covering the transplant and enlisted the support of the California Nurses Association and friends in the Los Angeles Armenian community. They were able to generate media interest in the case far beyond anything I had ever experienced before. That call from the LA TV reporter was the first of hundreds my staff and I would ultimately receive over the next few days.

The pressure worked. CIGNA agreed to cover the transplant at an estimated cost of $250,000 on December 20, 2007. Grigor and Hilda and their friends and families were overjoyed.

The Christmas joy was short-lived, however. So much time had passed since the original request was made that Nataline’s health deteriorated to the point that she was no longer eligible for the transplant. She passed away just hours after CIGNA told the Sarkisyans it would pay for it. Five days before Christmas. When Nataline died, so did any desire I had to continue as a spokesman for the insurance industry. It certainly was not the only reason I left my job, but it was the final straw. I simply didn’t have it in me to handle the PR around another case like Nataline’s.

The family got a hotshot attorney and tried to sue Cigna but ERISA legislation & the 1987 Pilot Life supreme court ruling protects employer-contracted insurance companies from being sued for damages...unless you’re a Congressman, under their platinum healthcare they can sue over denied claims.

Over-utilization of services is just one problem that plagues single-payer nations, resulting in long waits, ballooning budgets, and state sponsored euthanasia as a logical conclusion. So we need prices so that healthcare is accessed by people who actually need it and profit motive to ensure that everything is efficiently run.

This is just not the case. Healthcare is not something that you should consume as a luxury good, you either need it or you don’t, and in any single payer healthcare system you will not get past the receptionist if you’re some sort of malingerer.

The problem that America has is that everyone has been trained *to* treat healthcare as a luxury lifestyle accessory - drugs are advertized on TV relentlessly, you must shop around for the best boutique doctors office and review the CVs and record of surgeons and hospitals before making your selection.
None of this has anything to do with standard of care, it’s all about creating a competitive marketplace to drive up prices and create more profit.
Not to mention practically everyone has health issues in the first place due to shit diet and sedentary lifestyle - something else that a public health service works to improve as part of its mission, precisely to avoid overloading the system with fatties.

Corporations have one prime directive, and that's profit. CEOs will do anything to mitigate risk and deliver a profit to shareholders in whatever situation they find themselves in, up to and including making everyone's lives hell. But that's their job, and this works when there is freedom of choice. The problem is in the circumstances that created this environment to begin with. Roosevelt freezing wages in the 40s incentivizing employers to offer benefits packages to remain competitive set a precedent for employer-sponsored healthcare. When they're spending their own money for someone else's benefit, they'll choose the cheapest viable option. That's how you end up with so many people depending on a shit corporation like UHC.

Decades of regulations later and attempted remedies from the government have created the worst of all worlds in the US. A system as broken as any socialist hellhole combined with the worst profiteering. The problem is with state-sponsored effective monopolies, and killing CEOs is not going to do a damn thing to fix it.

And this is all correct, well said.

Briana Boston, a 42 year old mother of three gets charged with terrorism after she ends a call to her insurance company in anger by saying “Delay, Deny, Depose, you people are next!”

Her bond was set at $100k. What the fuck happened to the first amendment? She doesn’t even own a gun.

This is straight up class war against any one of the peasants who dares raise their voice against them
I recommend to those tempted to follow her lead, instead, find out the name of a customer service rep (assuming they're not in Chennai) and find where they live. Then tell them where they live and ask them to sort things out.
