Not Just Bikes / r/fuckcars / Urbanists / New Urbanism / Car-Free / Anti-Car - People and grifters who hate personal transport, freedom, cars, roads, suburbs, and are obsessed with city planning and urban design

I support the extermination of people who remove their mufflers and then brap around like negros at midnight.
Finally we addressing dat real shit
Why is it cultural because it's run by a brown person
Yet these people get angry when people support 'asian owned' businesses by buying off of TEMU instead of getting the exact same thing from a chinese factory but 10x more expensive at their dinky backalley store. Double standards huh.

Bodega owners must be adding something to the shitty crap they're selling. Come on, of course I have my favorite stores and favorite locations but I can't imagine arguing about that on twitter and calling others uncultured because they don't share my sentiments
It's because New Yorkers, perhaps excluding Staton Island, don't cook so they have been accustomed to goy slop being good. Even if some wanted to cook, their kitchens are too small for efficient cooking.

Live in a cube, eat goy slop.

They still want to defund the fire department.
That whole argument is dumb because streets have to be sized for the largest possible vehicle, not the smallest. Even if they always sent small vehicles for calls like heart attacks, they still need to be able to send a full engine for a large fire.

Imagine burning to death in your dense high rise apartment tower because the fire engine couldn’t fit down your dieted road.

The answer to this is available online:
Cosumnes Fire Department
When Cosumnes Fire Department units are not available due to other calls for service, the next closest fire department units will be dispatched. Either a neighboring Cosumnes Fire Department station or one of the other regional fire agencies will respond, regardless of jurisdictional boundaries. This automatic aid practice in Sacramento County has been in place for decades and puts our citizens’ health and safety as our top priority.

Many EMS calls present situations that cannot be adequately addressed by a two-person ambulance crew. The reason we send a fire engine or a fire truck along with the ambulance is if the patient is critically ill or not able to walk and must be carried to our gurney, the additional people staffing the fire engine or truck ensure that patient care needs are met in a timely and safe manner.
Taylor, TX:
Why do both a fire truck and an ambulance always show up for a medical emergency?
When a 911 call comes in, dispatchers often are not given precise or complete information. As such, units are dispatched on a worst-case scenario. To ensure the highest level of care, LFD sends the closest fire engine (staffed with a minimum of three personnel) or squad (staffed with a minimum of two personnel). Williamson County EMS sends an ambulance (staffed with two paramedics).
Albany, NY.
Why does a fire truck come when you call for an ambulance?
Why does a fire truck respond when I wanted an ambulance? Because firefighters can and do get there first, and time is critical in a medical emergency. Every Albany Fire fighter is cross-trained in Emergency Medical Services. What does that mean to you, a citizen phoning 911?

Regarding Bodegas:

2024 Prices
It seems that food is more expensive at bodegas (save for hot prepared food) and their are a limited amount of large grocery stores.

As such when people are given a choice of bodegas vs supermarkets:
  • It takes longer for most people to get to supermarkets
  • The price of hot prepared food cost less than supermarkets.
  • Staple foods cost more at bodegas.
  • Their kitchens aren't the best designed for cooking.
These factors almost make cooking more burdensome than ordering out notwithstanding the increased travel time and stress from public transit.

All the fresh stuff (milk, vegetables, etc.) aren't the same quality you can find in supermarkets. (Yes, I realize especially independent supermarkets have some grungy-looking produce sections, but this also can depend a lot on who leads the produce department).

On kitchens, both bodegas and the "rural" gas stations have kitchens that were "illegally" modified to the point where even in a normal city a convenience store building would have to be practically gutted to meet restaurant standards (grease traps, plumbing, HVAC) and in New York that's completely impossible for most small business owners due to the even more extreme regulations on permits and who is "authorized" to do work.

My personal theory is that it became a hot topic/cope from NYC tards after establishments like Bucees started gaining more online popularity outside of their already recognizable local brands, Bodega Bro was just an excuse for retards to lash out at someone convenient
Imagine the filth of the Bodega washroom compared to the Gigachad Buccees Washrooms.

They still want to defund the fire department.
Ask any fireman and they will say they would rather be told they're not needed than that they were needed 10 minutes ago. An emergency situation where every minute counts is the last place to be autistic about efficient use of resources. God knows if my life is on the line, I don't care if they sent a firetruck when they didn't need to.

Imagine burning to death in your dense high rise apartment tower because the fire engine couldn’t fit down your dieted road.
To be fair it would be a firefighters wet dream if they simply gated off every single road from the average new york city driver, have you seen those videos where they have a fire truck trying desperately to fight through a single block of traffic in that city, god bless those people it must be hell

It's also not true, many fire departments nowadays have a standard pickup truck or SUV outfitted as a rapid response vehicle because it takes time to get a firetruck ready for a call, and they use them for non-fire calls.

There’s another reason they send the fire truck(s) - because where the men go, the truck goes. If they need to go from your non-critical emergency to a real one they don’t want to have to go back to the fire station to get the truck.

It’s why you’ll see an entire truck’s worth of firefighters shopping when obviously one is capable of doing it himself. Because a call may come in and they’ll run out leaving their cart and drive off in their truck.

Also, they keep EVERYTHING in that truck. The trucks aren't big for the sake of being big, they have a whole garage of tools for every emergency. From their firefighting gear, to first aid supplies, to things like the jaws of life and angle grinders to help free trapped people and so on. Firefighters are the Swiss army knife of Emergency Services.
