I think Xavier was pretty equal in his treatment, at least when compared to a typical season which has large amounts of targeting. He played on Jon's masculine insecurities by calling him gay and showing everyone ai pictures of him kissing Ben. Letty didn't get off that easy either. I remember him calling out her cutting scars by asking her about the "runes" she carved into her arms lol. He fucked with Jimmy all the time, particularly in yugioh battles where he would t-bag his face. He would push people, but he was able to reel things back in and bring the mood back up right after. He was balanced.
Tayleigh overreacted. And sure the risk is always present when Fish are being pushed a bit, but they probably expected more out of Tay given her reputation to endure the latter half of season two. She's also not exactly entertaining on her own (she's always been reactive) so pairing her with Xavier was the right move. Xavier constantly trying to flirt with her and masking dates as missions and crucial to the lore was very funny and central to season 2.5's narrative, and her freaking out ruined that. It could be argued that it shifted the mood of season 2.5, and derailed the trajectory it was on as well, resulting in the rehashed cell challenge down the line.
