Troonslop "Retro" Games / Demake games / PS1 Trannies / ULTRAKILL / Y2K trannies - Retro gaming is infected

I'm gonna let you in on a little secret, troons latch onto anything and everything regardless of quality. They're like the pigs of gaming, they see no difference between a fancy 9 course meal and a trough full of rotten goo. Don't let them turn you off of good games just because they jelq their little egg noodles limp to veronica from new vegas and never shut up about it.
This doesnt only apply to games, look hard enough and you will find them in fishing, wood working and all other things you wouldnt expect to see one.

The difference is that fishing, woodworking, etc. are outside activities, so unless there's already a growing infestation, they'll have issues taking root. Because it requires going outside. Trannies are so prevalent and visible online precisely because of that.

Anyone who uses the internet unfortunately looks like this and speaks like this in some way shape or form thoughbeit

Literally a “Where’s Waldo” of stuff you might have heard about somewhat
At least its representative of a lot of decent things. Thankfully Texhnolyze is missing. 1000303128.jpg

I will remind you that Fallout is also troonslop
i don't entirely disagree, but fallout in general, particularly new vegas which is the point of contention, even to 4 was easy to separate the "art from the artist", and *most* political biases that pop up. new vegas is really the contaminated one, i don't remember any notable shit in 3. i like but havent been able to get into 1 and 2 since theyre quite complicated in comparison but don't know of particular dumb turbo leftist stuff there besides the older hippie style leftism.

i don't know wtf happened in the writing team for vegas, on the one hand there's some really interesting stuff, like old world blues' organic v inorganic, the twist at the end and being able to save the team and correct their degraded morals, the sierra madre actually showing a new side of fallout and a new world ender along with survival horror, dog/god and being able to break them or combine them both into their true personality that's both smart and can protect itself, the religious coin of josh graham (necessary evil) and daniel (never evil), and lonesome road having the ncr and legion being radiated, lost their skin, and their outfits being combined and patched since factions ceased to matter in favor of raw survival.

each faction was almost showed without a bias, ncr's corruption and repeating past mistakes, spreading too fast and the little person suffering, caesar's legion being a necessary evil in a new, evil world with raiders, the fiends etc. ruling with power and fear as primal deterrents. house being cold and calculating and allowing small evils for the greater good. there's even really cool outcomes you can create like assisting the ncr, keeping the brotherhood less warlike, and creating an incredible team of multiple factions and bringing the boomers in with a working bomber.

but THEN we DO have shit like ulysses, who is a confirmed writer insert, gary stu with built in edgy badass story across all dlcs, and is just a retarded centrist whose first idea was to join the legion and is now wanting to be some type of enlightentard. just a very shit fanfic tier josh graham with "bear" and "bull" repeated a few 100 times. suddenly being able to talk to ed e like anakin from star wars. mr house and by extension all factions beside ncr being considered bad or evil ending or post game, outer worlds supposedly being the mr house future. ncr in general having progressive stuff without regards for the actual game world like women being frontline fighters in a post apocalypse instead of protected. i'm sure there's a list of dumb shit i'm forgetting but there's still plenty of good moments scattered throughout unrelated.

but in general, the long term execution of the stories or their endings might be retarded, but there are standalone moments or events that are good on their own. easiest example i can think of is like how exploring nuka world and the secret areas in 4 was very entertaining even though the dlc as a whole was kind of shittily done, creating robot companions with fat man artillery, having the robot be able to address you by your real name, the base creation system etc. post 4, like 76 and the show kind of fucked it all up, and most likely the future is going to be full on shit gameplay AND tard politics, but each individual game before that has SOMETHING that's a very cool, worthwhile experience not tranny related, troons just infect everything and then say how much they liked it not because of the world or gameplay but because LOOK MA THERE'S A GAY! IT'S LITERALLY ME! instead of identifying with say, josh graham's conflicts, struggle to overcome, and finding comfort in the bible and words of others who struggled like paul, and finding someone that helps prevent him falling back down, they want characters that are just them as fanfic ocs and retroactively politically correct

What would y’all’s idea for a reverse troonslop game be like
One thing that really bothers me about the low poly style is that they're doing it because it's easy. I don't care about low poly models, if you want to do it old school style then make some fully rendered backgrounds, turn them into pngs or jpegs or what-have-you, and impose the game over them like OoT, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, etc. I've only seen one indie developer doing that nowadays and he just had his game turned into a movie, and he's damn good at it to boot.

Get some quality crt filters even, or fuck man get a couple friends together, raid a costume store, and start making FMV cutscenes. There's more to retro gaming than just slapping low quality textures over low poly models and calling it a day.

Despite all the lulz I had at the Vinny stream, it actually made me curious at playing Psychopomp myself.
The lore is kinda boring so far but the game *looks* good and the "instructions" level is the best example I've seen yet, it genuinely looks like Bad Day at the Midway mixed with some shitty educational software.

I mean, that's the reason why most competent retro games will normally try to mimic 2D games from the NES, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, or Neo Geo. The 3D stuff from the the 5th-6th (and arguably some of the 4th and a good deal of the 7th) generations of video games kinda seemed mostly experimental, developers trying to push the limits of what was possible.

To many, it seems like 2D pixel art has aged a bit better than the low poly, muddy texture content from the N64 and the Playstation. I don't blame anyone for feeling nostalgic for any of it at all, it's just that it hasn't aged as well as you remember, and even if it did, you're not emulating as well as you think.

also making decent (or above) pixel art is, from my experience, less effort than even lowpoly models

i dont understand why troons almost always tend to half-ass 3d models and call it "retro"
a lot of these troons have a background in art, so its safe to assume they know how to draw at least decently well, if u can draw, u can pixel art
if u can't draw for shit, draw intentionally shittily and use that to catch peoples eyes, call it a "lazycore asthetic" or smth like that, and make sure ur fellow troons circlejerk your game as much as possible, when ppl see these shitty twitter memes everywhere, 90% of them will be mildly annoyed, and 10% will try your game, out of these 10%, 90% won't stick around cuz ur a bad dev, the remaining 1% who did try it and like it are still tens of thousands of people, cuz u had ur fellow troons manufacture a fuckton of shitty memes and have em go viral

I completed it and it was pretty much what I expected. OK but it doesn't really rock the boat.
Gameplay is pretty much identical throughout the entire thing. Very basic, almost arcade-y despite styling itself after a first person RPG. Story never really resolves anything but the epilogue was pretty cool.
My only actual complaint is that some areas have terrible visibility and your flashlight is almost useless.
I think it's a little expensive for what it is but I didn't feel like my time was wasted.

Speaking of -
Sure seems to be a head above most of the competition.
Holy shit, if you told me this came out in 2002 from some Polish studio I never knew about I'd believe you. This is how you do a retro throwback.

A game that actually looks like it's from the era. Not a low-poly piece of shit, not some "cozy" trash that used a toon shader, something that ACTUALLY looks like it could be on PS1/2/Dreamcast.
Troons don't do because it actually takes a lot of effort: replicating all the hacks made to push out peformance on weak hardware. Lighting, shadows, texturework, LODs even.

As an aside, I recently downloaded a demo of some troonslop Cruelty Squad ripoff "goblinAmerica" because the dev was talking about the "Shinzo Abe gun" in it.
It is the exact opposite of what I would want. Ugly as fuck, incoherent, and yet FOR SOME REASON it runs on Unreal Engine 5.1 and requires a GTX 1070 minimum.
This is on a PC with a GTX 1080 standing in a mostly empty room with resolution set to 1080p and medium settings.

Cyberpunk 2077 runs better on my system. McFucking kill yourself, Gil Lawson.

Funny you mention that game, there's currently a sperg fight involving the Cruelty Squad dev happening on Xitter over it. A right-wing nobody "gamedev" personality decided to shit on the game, prompting John Crueltysquad to come out and gunt guard for it.

At this point, Cruelty Squad dev goes private.
