Nah, Grievous was a joke in RotS. He's literally a loser with a asthma that everyone in the movie clowns on, including Obi Wan. Obi Wan had a much tougher fight with Durge in the Tartakovsky Clone Wars than he did with Grievous in RotS, the whole fight with Obi Wan and Grievous in RotS was a comedy scene essentially. You can't use Grievous killing Shaak Ti as a proper example either because it was cut from the movie entirely, which is a shame because it's literally the ONLY scene shot for the movie where Grievous is menacing and someone is actually scared of him instead of saying one-liners and quips to him. That's because the cartoon from the 2003 era had Mace crush Grievous' chest at the end. So no, he is not going to be as threatening in ROTS because he's been essentially crippled. And he still gave Kenobi the fight of his life; even after losing his lightsabers he still gives Kenobi trouble. if it hadn't been for that gun lying around, Kenobi would be dead, and Kenobi fucking hates guns. The man literally had to break his code just to kill Grievous. That doesn't seem like comic relief at all. They even shot a scene where Grievous kills Shaak Ti for kicks, before they pulled it and had her die in the SWEU instead. That is not Jar-Jar 2.0. It's just that instead of making him Kratos with lightsabers, they opted for the T-800 in Space, which worked just as well for a crippled Grievous suffering from immense chest pains.
Again, George thought Grievous was too badass for his movie so he sissified him. George even retconned CW a bit for the movie and had the jedi not consider him a real threat and call Grievous a "coward" multiple times. I don't think this is how jedi would think of a guy who was brutally killing hundreds of jedi 24/7, and just days earlier (at most) he nearly killed 3 of their most powerful jedi sending them into critical condition. But George thought being a cartoonish sissy comic relief was a better characterization for the movie. George just wanted a new empty shell of a cartoon character for the jedi to dunk on, not a true threat as the character was supposed to be in his original form. (I don't give a shit if George "created" Grievous, Tartakovsky's Clone Wars is his first appearance so I consider that his proper version, not George's sissified version.) The actual direct reason why George made Grievous a joke is because he didn't want anyone else in the movie to be a threat besides Anakin, this is also the same reason Boba Fett was removed from the movie entirely. Boba Fett was originally going to be the one who kills Mace Windu but George decided he only wanted Anakin to be the main threat.
And I'll say it again in case you missed it in my previous post, the book Labyrinth of Evil which adapts the Coruscant War and ending to Tartakovsky's Clone Wars, never mentions Grievous getting his chest crushed like the cartoon, and the RotS book never mentions Grievous having a cough or injured lungs. I consider the book "EU Canon" and the movies just to be an adaption of that material (the novels were released first, suck it George) so in my mind Grievous never officially had his chest crushed. It's obvious that was only added in CW at last minute by George's request to nerf Grievous.
