Sweet Baby Inc. and the Steam Curator Group Conspiracy - The company that is responsible for the diarrheic video game writing.

This probably isn't worth worrying about. These people are unable to contain themselves. Some member of the dev teams, whether it's the top of the food chain or just someone working on the audio, will freak out on X and ramble about the horrible nasty chuds and brag about all the diversity the new game will have. They're incapable of being normal human beings, and they're so used to being able to say whatever they want without consequence that I doubt any prior warnings will stop them.
plus if youve already outed yourself as a freak because you thought you could do it openly what else is left for you? people are also looking at things with a fine tooth comb. baldur's gates dont happen very often you need the stars to align for that. if you enable all this shit even in secret youre enabling a poison in your company that will kill it regardless of even if the rest of us know whats causing it. theres been entire brands and franchises for media and non media companies that have perished that i only found out was because of these types far later.

Truth About Sweet Baby Inc. - WAY WORSE than you think

TL;DW Rehash of things we mostly already knew/suspected about SBI: it exists purely as a vehicle for nepotism that exploits Affirmative Action laws/benefits. No actual confirmations of how much their contributions affected the games they're accused of ruining.

I’ve noticed no one is talking about the new Indiana Jones game. I’ve seen one or two angry grifters screaming about it being woke (if you object to fighting Mussolini’s henchmen and actual nazis you’ve gone off the deep end) but I expect they’d watch the Triumph of the Will they’d say the same if it was released today.

Has it bombed? Te numbers seem a bit meh on Twitch. I’ve had a little go and it seemed ok but didn’t really pull me in.

The player count is relatively low on Steam. But you can handwave these numbers because it's on gamepass. I don't think it did gangbusters. In the Indiana Jones thread I highlighted why I think it didn't do so well.

But you can handwave these numbers because it's on gamepass.
Even if that the case, you'd expect the game to do more than 12,000 concurrent players. It's the first game featuring Indiana Jones that wasn't a mobile or LEGO title in what feels like a decade or more, made by an "experienced" studio and published by Bethesda. You'd expect a little more fanfare, and yet no one is talking about the game not even a two weeks after release.

Where's all the positive reviews, gameplay montages and excited comments on social media from all the people that are playing it on GamePass? Where's MicroSoft announcing what a critical and commercial success it is?

Instead, the whole thing was greeted by a collective "meh", to the point not even culture war grifter could summon enough of a fuck to give to comment about it.

Does gamepass recuperate their expenses?
If the answer is yes. You can wave it off. If you can't, then no you can't wave it off.
The game is a multi million dollar failure.

Everything I have seen of the game has been tepid. No one seems to care about it. It looks like uncharted but it is about 10 years too late.

I've heard mostly positive things from YouTubers and critics alike (not that critic opinions are worth much, but you know what I mean). I think the problems it's facing are it comes from MachineGames who last shat the bed with an absolutely abysmal Wolfenstein spin-off; it's an Xbox/PC exclusive which locks out the majority of console players; and it's an Indiana Jones game which will excite some but put off many more given the most recent IJ media was the second shitty attempt to re-ignite the film franchise. This was a game that needed to come out 20 years ago.

Whether it's bombed or not is impossible to say for certain, but if it was a smash hit you can bet Microsoft wouldn't hesitate to shout about it, especially given the year Xbox has had. It's a lot like Veilguard in that sense: not telling you numbers is as good as telling you numbers are bad.

As a point of reference, the "killer app" for GamePass was supposed to be Starfield, yet the game still managed to peak at 330,000 concurrent players on Steam, so we can assume there's a substantial percentage of users that are not interested in a subscription service, don't want to switch to GamePass or simply like to have games in their Steam library.

A Bethesda-published Indiana Jones game to barely breaking 10,000 players on Steam is telling any way you cut it.

There's also the fact that GamePass user numbers have been stagnant for a long time, and that you have to share all the revenue with other publisher/devs after MS takes their cut.

I think another problem with the Game Pass model is it's easier to ignore games you know are gonna be there forever. I've got hundreds of games through Playstation Plus that I've never got round to playing; I turn up once a month to collect my free games and they sit there with the rest because I can only play one game a time.

Even if you might like it, there's no real rush to get on the Indiana Jones game because it's gonna be on Game Pass forever (unless Microsoft sells Bethesda on).

There is talk about it, but I only see retards complaining about it being "woke", and there's an overall general consensus of it just being really, really bland and fucking boring to slog through. Which is a side effect of "modern" gaming. The usual suspect shills are praising the fuck out of it, while most of the general audience doesn't find much of it too offensive, maybe a couple of decades too late. As someone else previously said, The Dial of Dysentery has pretty much just sour'd anyone who had even a passing interest in this franchise, and even if this game is largely unaffected by intersectional bullshit, it's still got that "modern gaming" curse, as well as being apart of a franchise that's well past it's due date.

Looking at the gameplay, it's a lot of... throwing shit at enemies. I've seen coverage of it, but it's just not that interesting looking, and yeah the franchise is basically dead at this point thanks to the last two movies. If this had come out right before that crystal skull crap, it probably would have done well, or even if it had come out before the latest flop it may have done better. But when the last movie anyone actually gives a shit about is from 1989? That's 35 years ago at this point. Not many people are going to be excited about that.

pretty sure a new uncharted would probably have sold better, nathan drake is the zoomer indy which got emasculated a bit before woke really ramped up. meanwhile your only other reference is some old dude you dadr liked and a shitty movie.
to put indy on the same level again you'd have to re-establish the character almost from scratch, and modern writers are fully incapable of that.

You'd basically need to re-do the Young Indiana Jones TV series or something along those lines. A modern version of that not written by retards would actually probably do quite well. But of course it requires having competent writers so that's kind of out of the picture.

There was another game. Lego Horizon or something. A lego game, based on a game, made by different devs. It was a massive flop, but so uninteresting no one talks about it.

Only thing I've seen is people talking about how you get XP by taking photos of cakes.

As for being woke, I checked out when the trailers revealed he teams up with a girlboss. I don't know if that is in the game though.
